Holiday Favorites

1.   Favorite Holiday Of Yours?:  I love Thanksgiving but I still think Christmas is my favorite!

2.   Favorite Holiday Character In A Movie?:  Scrooge, because he sees the error of his ways and
"He became as good a friend, as good a master, and as good a man, as the good old city knew, or any other good old city, town, or borough, in the good old world".

3.   Favorite Holiday Dish Or Dessert To Make?:  Red Velvet Cake for Christmas dessert.

4.   Favorite Holiday Weather You Wish For?:  A non-humid 75 degrees and sunny Thanksgiving and Christmas!

I am remembering, with much love, my mom's birthday in Heaven. She would have been 89 today had cancer not taken her from us when she was only 65.  I am thankful for her love and so many wonderful memories stored away in my heart!  She loved being out on the lake in anyone's pontoon boat!!

  6. My Mom died 11 years ago this Dec. 1st from a massive stroke. The saddest day of my life. She died so suddenly and I was in no way prepared for it. We just never get over missing our Moms.

  14. I am hoping for a cool, sunny Thanksgiving too, hoping people can sit out on the deck maybe...but either way, it will be fun. I know how much you miss your mother. I am sorry she had to leave so young, but you know where she is and you will see her again one day. (((hugs))) and prayers...

  17. Cute picture of your mom. She died young. Makes me realize, once more, how blessed I am to still have both my parents. They are 79 and 82.

I love ebenezer scrooge. Although he is mostly thought of as a miser, he is, in fact, a picture of repentance.
