On Wednesday afternoon, we made our usual trip to the farm (Joe's client). The weather was gorgeous, but out in the open spaces, the wind was really chilly. I actually went to sit in the car for the last 30 minutes we were there.
I had carrots and apples to feed the 'babies'. I gave the birds apple pieces before making my way to the horses and goats.
Karma, above, and Mallow, below.
Speaking of birds, remember this photo from last week?
It's the baby ducks in the incubator.
This is them this week!! Wow!
And here are some guineas, up close and personal.
Prince remembered that I was the carrot lady!
He is just a little aggressive!
Pistol, Majesty, and Doc.
When I walked over to the goat pasture, the horses
followed me to see if they could get some more treats!
I am off work today and did not set the alarm. We will go to Helen's house this afternoon to celebrate her 91st birthday. She has requested that we look into some home health care for her so we will be talking with her about what we found out and hopefully setting a meeting for next week.
On Saturday, we are going out to dinner with friends, Al and Theresa, and on Sunday I am cooking for the neighbors. It will be a busy weekend and this is my working Saturday.
Happy weekend!! Thanks for your visit today!
Peace & hugs!! God bless!!
Enjoyed the farm pictures. I dont know how you do all you do my friend. You seem to be on the go constantly. Guess it keeps you young though! Happy Friday and weekend.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful weekend... Sounds like fun... :)
ReplyDeleteThose ducks have grown a lot in a week.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Wow! Those ducks are really growing fast!!! Amazing!!! I love the horses all together...and the goat, and all the pictures. You are amazing...cooking for the neighbors, working...you are one busy lady...amazing! "Won't you be my neighbor?" (Mr. Rogers). Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be your neighbor!!
DeleteOh...those birds in cages. :(
ReplyDeleteTheir cages are HUGE and they are so well cared for. There is also a breeding pair that just hatched two, another parrot upstairs and several parakeets. They have always been captive and would not survive in the wild.
DeleteI just love your background, Terri...so spring like. smiles.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the post, have a lovely Friday. (waving to Joe)
I love all your farm pics. Wow the ducks got big!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Never, ever tire of those farm prints! That gorgeous sky!
ReplyDeleteCooking for the neighbors! That is so awesome. I guess my family is just too big, and I spend as much time as I can with them, that I just can't take on the neighborhood. But sometimes I wish I could find time to be more neighborly.
I see a lot of people getting their spring chicks. We are hoping our second hive of bees are ready soon! Maybe we will get some honey this year.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe the ducks grew so much in one week!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend, my friend!
Love your background too!
I think the little ducks are my favorites! Helen is certainly blessed to have you and Joe in her corner, looking out for her best interests. Happy Birthday to Helen … and many moooore!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Helen!!! 91 - that's awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that last photo! I also love your background today.
ReplyDeleteYou are a good friend to Helen.
Haha! That goat is so funny. And I had to stare a long time at the pic of Mallow to make out what it was. Cute little ducks! So fun to watch these animals.
ReplyDeleteI'm late... again! Always enjoy the farm fotos. Those birds are beautiful! I saw a comment you made somewhere that you've lost 35 pounds since retirement.... that's so awesome. Hope you have a great week! 💜
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks like a great place to visit with the little critters! Great images.
