Just a few things on this Tuesday that tickled my funny bone. Hope you get a giggle too!
And maybe this next is TMI, but I need to ask for some prayers!
This morning I have an appointment for pre-admission at the hospital for an outpatient procedure that will happen next month. Getting older, having had a complete hysterectomy almost 20 years ago, and being over-weight has led to some bladder issues that I have decided to have addressed. I have a great doctor and I have hopes that this will take care of my problem before it gets worse. If any of my female friends here want more information, I'll be happy to answer questions in an email or Facebook message!! Just ask! In the meantime, your prayers will be appreciated over these next few weeks. There are some tests that happen on Friday this week to make sure the doctor's diagnosis is correct and there aren't other things causing my problem. She is thorough. Monday, August 13th is the date for the actual procedure.
I will be TICKLED to have this all over with!! I'm also tickled to have wonderful prayer partners here.
Thanks for your visit!! Peace & hugs!!

Praying for you and your husband.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I totally understand as I too have had a hysterectomy and have the same problem. Good for you getting it corrected and I will be praying that all goes well.
ReplyDeletePraying that the tests confirm your doctor's thoughts and that the procedure solves the problem. No hysterectomy for me, but every year I get that one cold and cough that hangs on forever and causes the same problem. No fun at all. Tim was having trouble, too, but tests showed he had a big stone in his bladder. Since it was removed he's been doing great!
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that (1994). Understand. Had to agree with you on the last graphic. It's just practical behavior, whether we have those kinds of problems or not.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're having to go through this. I've put the surgery date on my calendar so I'll be sure to pray for you. You are in good company!
Ugh, I have a cold right now and the sneezing and coughing cause that issue. Not fun!
ReplyDeleteLOL at the last meme. My hubby is like that.
Have a great day!
I had that procedure done two years ago Terri and so glad I did it. Prayers that all will go well. My GYN doctor did mine and he teaches this procedure at UAB Medical School so I was pretty confident he would do well. He said that only two patients had complications in all his surgery. As an old nurse, I liked knowing this.
ReplyDeletePrayers for you, Terri! Keep us in the loop as the date approaches. Blessings!
ReplyDeletePrayers for you and sorry to hear you need to go through this... isn't getting old great? Beats the alternative as they say.. :)
ReplyDeletePrayers for you and your husband! Every one of those I can relate too!! Hope things turn around quickly!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope it goes well. I'll certainly pray for you! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Terri...how true is all those graphics? (((giggling))
ReplyDelete---the dr. warned me about the bladder issues after my surgery too. Told me to keep the weight down as much as possible. No matter what I do, the "belly" remains...that is because of the c section and hysterectomy. I am not going to have another surgery to have it nipped or tucked, no way. I guess I will be round the rest of my life, smiles
Keeping you in prayer, Terri.
You've no idea! After almost 60 years (really), my 'dirty little secret' is something others experience … that we might empathize and even giggle about! So glad you've a physician with whom you're comfortable!
ReplyDeleteI had a complete hysterectomy almost twenty years ago too, but I haven't had that issue as a result of it, thankfully. I do have other issues that should be taken care of, but I guess I put up with things as long as I can stand them. Mostly I'm terrified of being put "out of commission." Pathetic, I know. I pray you'll have good results and an easy recovery.
ReplyDeletePrayers and love my friend!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have already been there and done that...I also had a great surgeon...she has taken care of a couple of things for me...you will be fine, I am sure. It is well worth the endeavor...but be sure to obey all instructions afterwards, and don't lift or do anything until you are given permission to do so...that can be the undoing of what's been done! So don't do it, no matter how simple it may appear...okay? Okay! Praying for you. You will be fine. Just remember what I said! :) LOL.
ReplyDeleteYes!! Loud and clear!! That's one reason I wanted Joe there with me today, to hear her say those words... not lifting more than five pounds for six weeks! I'll not forget!! :)
DeleteWell - I've had a hysterectomy and am overweight so that is probably in my future as well. Will be praying for you!
ReplyDeleteSorry that you're having problems but glad that you are addressing them and will be thinking of you as the surgery approaches and hoping it all goes well. I'm sure you will keep us all up to date. Good to know Joe is improving too (I've skipped back here from Thursday's post)
