It's the day after our Independence Day holiday and a Thursday so it's time to link up with Rebecca Jo over at Knit By God's Hand for her Thankful Thursday meme...
** I am thankful to live in the USA and that we had a nice celebration yesterday with our friend Helen and her niece, Cheryl. Helen took us all out to eat at Cheddar's. The BBQ place we intended to go was closed for the holiday. We all enjoyed our meals at Cheddar's. Joe had BBQ ribs there and said they were good. Helen and Cheryl shared a "duo" meal. It looks like Helen had nothing! LOL I had country-fried chicken and gave some of it to Cheryl and some to take home for her dog, Oz. Way too much food, but very good!
** I say often how blessed we are to have found our new home (over a year now!) in Mas Verde. Even though the weather wasn't great on the 4th, we still decorated...
** We didn't go to the potluck at the clubhouse, but we were told by a couple of folks that they missed us. Thankful for friends here!!
** I am thankful that Joe's physical therapy starts today! We both have high hopes for it to help him strengthen his legs and get his hip working well again.
** We missed the farm visit (Joe's client) yesterday, but are going this afternoon, after the PT appointment. We are thankful that his client is flexible when necessary!
** I am thankful for Rebecca Jo hosting this Thankful Thursday and am thankful for your visit!!
Peace & hugs!!

So glad you got to spend time with friends yesterday. Hoping your rain has stopped. Praying that the PT will help Joe with strengthening, and you can enjoy your time at the farm today. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a nice day yesterday. We don't have Cheddar's around here. Too bad, your meals sound good. Hope you have a nice day, we have your rain today!
ReplyDeleteI love your thankful posts. HOPE the therapy helps Mr. Joe. Try to keep cool while at the farm...we had almost 100 degrees here in Tennessee yesterday. This weather is gonna be the death of us all! (just kidding, but I do not like HOT weather)
ReplyDeleteFinally got some rain last night and it cooled down...sounds like a wonderful day... no cooking! The Masons here at our retirement community put on a wonderful spread...so thankful as well I have "settled in."
ReplyDeleteHope therapy will help Joe. Have a great time at the farm!
ReplyDeleteI hope the physical therapy helps Joe! It was this time last year that Marvin had Sciatica and it was a bear. Glad you had a good fourth!
ReplyDeleteLook how cute you all are decked out in the 4th of july colors! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL-ing the expression on Cheryl's face (ALL mine, hee-hee)! Your and Helen's blouses are great!
ReplyDeleteI hope Joe's physical therapist is nice and inspires him to keep on! (Tom used to call his a 'physical terrorist'!)
So much to be thankful for, Terri. Looking forward to updates on Joe's therapy.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Wishing you happiness, joy and good health.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I'm so happy for you to be living where you do. I see all the fun and friends you have there. What a blessing!
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed, Mari!
