Friday Foto Friends with a New Logo!!

It is time to link up with Debbie over at Breathing In Grace for her Friday Foto Friends Link-up!!  You can visit her HERE!!  Thanks for hosting, Deb!!

We have had a busy, but not crazy busy, week so far.  I did have time to work on a couple of projects that I will share with you here.  I don't have photos from the farm this week because the fog on Wednesday was dense enough to cut with a knife and it was also misty.  I stayed in the office with Joe while he worked, and read my book.  No animals this week.

Before Christmas, I started this project.  I purchased a paper mache letter "D" and started covering it with twine, hot gluing as I went.  I'm not crazy about my finished product but it was less expensive to do it myself than to buy one done.  I also wanted to include a little holder on it so I could change out the decorations for the seasons.  I'm happy with it, and here it is ready for Valentine's Day.  I will be using this instead of a wreath (at least until I get tired of looking at it! LOL).

I also finished my two-tiered centerpiece for Valentine's Day.  I went to the Dollar Tree and spent a whopping $11.00 for the sprigs in the letter project above and for these doo-dads in the centerpiece.  I liked my Christmas centerpiece better, but this is okay I think.  Here are two views...

A couple of silly stuffed animals, a scarf, plastic heart glasses, a Valentine mug and a heart shaped vase with glitter hearts in it...  I used a candle and some doilies I had around the house.

Wishing you all a good weekend ahead!!  Happy Friday and thanks for your visit!  Peace & hugs!

  1. You are very creative and I do like your 'D' and the centerpiece. I prefer things like that a lot more than 'store bought'. Good job!

I still have a couple of Christmas things sitting around...(the little tree in the dining room I love to light up at night and early dark mornings...maybe I could put hearts on it and make it a Valentine's tree? Hmmm. let's see...maybe, maybe not. Baby Elva needs to change her outfit too... Love your creativity...it has gotten me to think already this morning...that's something!!

  5. I love your letter D and what a good idea to make it so you can change the decoration with the seaons. I love your tiered tray. I am starting to gather things for my Valentines Day Dough Bowl. It is fun to decorate for the seasons, to me it is what makes a house a home.

  10. Already, I'm trying to envision using a glue gun ... your "D" looks wonderfully rustic! Using doilies to complement the Valentines centerpiece is an awesome touch of nostalgia.

  12. I'm so late to visit... and I'm so sorry! I love the initial...you did a great job and it looks so nice. I love twine and burlap... anything rustic. I'm enjoying seeing how people decorate the tiered trays. I'm in search of just the right one that doesn't cost a small fortune. 😁 Hope you have a great Sunday.
