Tickled Tuesday.....

Here is my cat joke image for this Tickled Tuesday....

......yes, groaner!! LOL

Joe and I were tickled yesterday to spend several hours with blogging friend Lynda and her hubby Bill.  We had a great time dining and touring.  We took them to the Museum after lunch at Crispers (which was very good). I can't believe I didn't get one photo at the Museum. We did pose at Crispers, though...

After a time at the Museum, we went to the Hollis Gardens, but it was closed on Mondays.  We could peek through the gates and see some of the beauty, and then walked down to Lake Mirror.  It was hot, but a beautiful day.

When we drove through downtown, we went north past the Detroit Tigers spring training stadium and found where trucks are dumping the hurricane debris.  The pile was HUGE and was much bigger than this picture shows....

We went back to our house for some refreshments and visited for awhile until Lynda and Bill decided they needed to head back to Orlando/Kissimmee. They texted that they arrived 'home' safely.  It was a fun day!!  They have a busy week ahead on their vacation and I wish them safe travels and lots of good times!

Thanks for your visit!!  Peace & hugs.

  1. Sounds like a wonderful day spent with friends! I wonder what they will do with that pile of debris on the baseball field? Will they burn it? Or maybe turn it into mulch? Interesting... Funny, all that beauty you've posted and talked about and I'm only interested in the pile of debris. LOL. I guess because we have so much of it up here alongside our roads waiting to be picked up and I wonder where it will go and what they will do with it all. I wish I needed some wood for firewood...there's a lot of free wood sitting out there! Have a blessed day. I am glad you enjoyed your day with your friends. Sounds lovely...maybe someday I'll talk my hubby into a day trip in your direction! After the wedding is over of course...and then after the holidays...and then...well, we'll see! Have a blessed day!

    1. Pam, we can come your way or we can meet somewhere in between. It will happen after the wedding and BEFORE the holidays! Let's just make sure it happens. I think the debris usually gets chipped into mulch. At least the last time we had that much, it was chipped and the public could bring a truck and load up as much as you wanted for mulch.

  2. What a fun time...oh my goodness, all that debris really brings home what a terrible storm the area endured.

  5. Sounds like you had a nice visit.
Hurricanes can be so destructive. My MIL lost her house in Sandy a few years ago. It's so sad.

  9. ahhhh - I always need to try & remember little one liner jokes for the kids - but I'm horrible at keeping them in my brain.
Funny side note - we've always had cats with no tails on them - so I really need to remember to tell my parents that one.

  11. I never considered what happens to all the hurricane debris. I don't suppose it's practical to burn?
Those skies! Looks like Mother Nature was showing off for Lynda and Bill!

That is a huge pile - never thought about what they do with that. The clouds are gorgeous though!
