Another weekend is over. Why do they always seem to go so fast?! Our's was really fun, though, and we have another good one coming up!!
Friday night we were treated to dinner out with our friends, Ann and Tom. We went to Thai Oshi and enjoyed a delicious meal with spring rolls and sushi to start. After dinner, they came back to our house for dessert and coffee. We visited for awhile before eating since we were all stuffed. It was a great evening.
Saturday, Joe and I got to sleep in - whoohooo!! We finally got moving and headed out for Bed Bath and Beyond, Belks and Walmart. We went to the 4:00 Mass and then we met our old neighbors, Bob and Ginny, and Ginny's sister, Mary Jane, for dinner at Miller's Ale House. It is a favorite for all of us. Mary Jane lives just across the street from our development now and she offered to be our new cat sitter when we travel. What a blessing to have her watch our fur-babies for us now. Ginny did before and now Mary Jane will. After dinner, we all came back to the house for dessert (more cheesecake) and I showed Mary Jane where everything is and what our routine is. We're all set for our trip to Pittsburgh, to see our great-nephew get married.
Sunday we also slept late, had a late breakfast and I got laundry started (and finished). We did a few things around the house and watched some TV. Helen and Cheryl stopped in to say hello. It was good to see them for a few minutes (maybe 30).
It was a good weekend! I didn't get one picture. Sorry!

ReplyDeleteOur weekend was full and happy, and I forgot to take pictures except for one, which is in my blog tonight. Sometimes we are just so busy being happy we don't want to take time to take pictures. Sounds like your weekend was like that. So happy for you to be settling in and enjoying friends and fellowship and good neighbors! Have a wonderful trip for the wedding! That should be fun!
