A Tuesday Blessing....

Mother's Day is coming and I think it's just fine for moms and those who stand in for moms to celebrate all week long....

Mother's Day weekend is always the Museum's Mayfaire art festival weekend.  I've worked the entire weekend for (what will be) 21 years.  It is also always close to our wedding anniversary (May 11) so we really don't get to celebrate on our special day very often.  I'm looking forward to next year when we can enjoy Mayfaire as a visitor and I'll have Mother's Day off!!

We have been waiting to hear if our son could get Friday off so he and Darlene and her mom and our grandson Steve could come for the weekend.  He texted today that he just can't do it. I'm disappointed, but I wouldn't have been able to enjoy their visit since I'll be working 10-12 hours a day, both days.  We'll have more fun if they can all come down sometime in June.  In the meantime, we have our nephew's wedding coming up to look forward to!!

Wishing you a blessed Tuesday!!  Peace & hugs.

  1. Oh how I love your new look here, Terri. So bright and cheery, smiles. Commencement is Sunday, which I found odd, on Mothers Day of all things, lol.

    Have a beautiful day friend.

  5. I'm reminded of the one year that I waitressed. The restaurant had a tradition of taking reservations for their Thanksgiving meal. So we decided it would be fun if I would offer to work that day and Dick and the kids would eat at the restaurant for Thanksgiving. They were seated in my section of course. I decided afterward that while it was fun to have them there, it was not at all fun to do our Thanksgiving that way. Thankfully, that was the only year I needed to have that job.

  7. I hope the weekend being your last one will be a memorable one. You have so much to look forward to and you're right. It's better to have the time to sound with visitors than having to work the entire time.
