Hoping this Friday finds all of us here in Florida with power and all of our roof shingles in place. As I write this, Matthew is still miles away, but we expect him here in a couple of hours. Getting this posted ahead, just in case!
Yesterday (Thursday) was our friend, Cheryl's, birthday. We planned to go out to dinner with her and Helen today but decided we'd better do it last night instead. We went to RibCrib and had pulled pork bbq. It was good! Here is a photo of them, back at Helen's house where we had some birthday cake.
It was nice to not worry about the weather for a couple of hours. We told them if they got scared or the power went out to call us immediately and we would get to them. They are only a couple of miles away from our house. Cheryl has a very rambunxious dog, Oz, or we would have insisted they come with us for the night.
Linking up with Deb, at Breathing in Grace, for Friday Foto Friends!! Thanks for hosting us, Deb!
Thanks for your visit!! Peace & hugs!

Keeping you in prayer...I tried calling my folks in Ocala---apparently, they are one of the 200,000 without power???? I don't know how all that works...still can't reach sister and brother in law in Daytona Beach either.
ReplyDeleteKeeping you in prayer, friend.(Happy Birthday Cheryl. smiles)
I will be glad when Matthew hits the road...pretty worried about our family who chose to stay in Savannah.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Cheryl. And I'll take Oz! Cute dog. You're so kind to reach out to others. May the LORD bless and keep you for your generosity. ~:)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever paid so much attention to the Weather Channel! It will be good to read your next update.
ReplyDeleteLittle Oz looks like the Italian Greyhound that Tom's son has. You're right, they're a handful and a half!
Thinking of you and Joe and praying you are safe and there is no damage to anything around your home.
ReplyDeletePraying for you guys that your roof stays on and everything intact during the storm. Terri, so good of you to be so kind to your friends.
ReplyDeleteBlessed we were spared down here in the Southwest part of Florida. Prayers to all who are still in its path.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you and you have power. This storm is so scary. Have a great weekend!
