Last night, we had an artist's talk at the Museum. George Lowe has lent us 50 pieces of art from his personal collection, on exhibit in our main Gallery I, and he presented it to us with a power point talk in our auditorium. There weren't too many seats left and we did have a dozen or so folks standing in the back. It was quite a performance and he had everyone laughing quite a few times.

After the talk, Joe and I went to our favorite diner, Reececliff, for our supper. Joe had a BLT Club and onion rings. I had a Reubin and onion rings (best onion rings ever!).
Reececliff has signs all over the walls, but this one is my favorite....

Reececliff is known for their pies. I had coconut custard and Joe had chocolate silk.

ReplyDeleteOnion rings!!!!! Oh, now I want some. One of our local places is known for their pies and has that slogan also. We had breakfast there just yesterday. Have a great day. That's interesting about e voice behind the Space Ghost. And I remember Gary Owens.

ReplyDeleteSo, did you eat pie first? Sounds like you ate the reuben and onion rings first! I wouldn't have had room for pie after that! I am glad you are having lunch with your special friends. I know you will enjoy being retired. I am coming up on my one year anniversary of retiring. It's been wonderful in so many ways...especially the fact that I don't have to get up and get dressed and go every day. Some days I don't even have to put on make up or style my hair! That is SO nice! And I can live in my comfy clothes all day. Thank you for making me want some pie now. Have a blessed and happy weekend.

ReplyDeleteI will always keep my membership in the Museum and will be able to attend all of the same events that I do now as an employee (and member). Museums ALL have wonderful programming.
