Joe's older brother, Lou, is on my mind these past couple of days. He is in the hospital with a hematoma behind a kidney that is bleeding and causing severe pain. When our niece called to tell us, he was actually in the ICU. Hoping the word we get today finds him in his own room. Joe spoke with him last night and he is doing better and is in good spirits. Once you pass 80 years old, stuff like this takes its toll. On loved ones as well!! Prayers appreciated.
Anyway, that made me think about Throwback Thursday and I went looking for some older photos to share. I'll take you back to June 2007 and our granddaughter's high school graduation party.
Joe's two brothers: Lou on the left with glasses and younger brother, Nick, on the right. Joe's back is to the camera. He is the middle child. Lauren's party was in a park and was catered. It was a fun day with lots of family there to celebrate!
Here you can see Joe, our son Jeff and our nephew Lou. The men always end up together so they can talk sports and politics.
Throwing in the August Happiness Challenge.....
Our pretty granddaughter, Lauren, who donned her cap and gown again, for the party.
Lauren with her dad (our Joey) and step-mom Darlene.
AND.....
Not to be outdone, the D'Orsaneo women had gathered together, too, and the talk was about kids, grandkids, schools, and some sports and politics! We got photo-bombed by Julian D'Orsaneo!
Family makes me so very happy and I am so very blessed with a large bunch of relatives on both sides of our familia!!
Thanks for visiting!! Peace & hugs.

Yes, you are definitely blessed with a large family, on both sides. I love seeing pictures of the past. Happy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteYes, you certainly are blessed to have such a big, wonderful, close family. Prayers for Mr. Lou. HOPE you and Mr. Joe are both doing well, physically. How's your hips...and knees?
ReplyDeleteThe sciatica has calmed, thank goodness, and the knees are swimming in cortisone since last week, so they are feeling pretty good right now too. Not running any races, though!
DeleteLooking back at those sweet memories do warm the heart. Great pics of good family times and you are blessed with many of them. I pray that your bil Lou will be in a room today and improving. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice post, Terri....you are so blessed (big smiles)....I just love your new look here.
ReplyDeleteKeeping Joe's brother in prayer, friend.
I hope Lou is doing better today. Nice pics!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Hoping Lou moves to a room today and gets on the road to recovery. Loved seeing all the generations having a good time together.
ReplyDeleteHoping Lou is back on the mend & pain free soon!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures Terri! You are truly blessed. Hope all goes well for Lou and God touches him with healing.
ReplyDeleteVery nice family pictures! It's clear you love and enjoy your family and are blessed by them, as I am sure they are by you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful assortment of "Colgate smiles"! Somehow, 2007 doesn't seem that long ago....
ReplyDeleteHolding Lou (and his doctors) in my prayers!
