Thankful on Thursday Too....

Continuing my week with yet another blog post with not much to write about....

At the risk of boring you with yet another Joe update....he is scheduled for his third cardioversion on Friday...yes, Friday the 13th.  Counting on it being good luck for us. Prayers appreciated, though! We are just happy that it is being done before we head north for my niece's wedding next week.

We went out for dinner last night, to celebrate our anniversary.  Bonefish Grill has always been our go-to place for special occasions, but the last couple of times we went there, we have been a bit underwhelmed and last night was no exception. We had a gift card to use, which was wonderful and we did enjoy our Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer.  I think we will not go there again for awhile.  Need to give it a rest.  Has that ever happened to you?  You really love a restaurant, then for some reason it is just not good anymore?

We are off to Naples on Saturday, for just an overnight this time.  Grandson Tristan is home from school and this weekend is the only one we have to see him before he goes to Germany for five weeks of study.  Kathy told us they will take us out to dinner Saturday night, to continue the anniversary celebration. Looking forward to seeing them all. We haven't seen them since Christmas.

We are thankful for family and friends who care! We are thankful for our good neighbors who care for our cats and the house while we are gone. Bless them for doing double duty for us over these next couple of weeks.

Thankful for your visit, too!!  Peace & hugs.

  1. Belated anniversary congrats. Shame about the meal but hopefully the celebration at the weekend will make up for that. Hope all goes well for Joe. That is certainly an on going saga. It must be a bit frustrating by now.

  4. I used to really like Aubrey's restaurant...then. I don't know what happened....last time we went, we had a gift card, too...yuck! 😢 As for Friday the 13th....my Dad was born on such a day. I would jokingly tell him that I was his bad luck. LOL

  5. Always good to have trusting neighbors to look out for one another. We have a neighbor that we help each other too. Enjoy your weekend. Off to the beach with girlfriends this weekend...always look forward to trips like this.

  6. Best of luck on Friday. I'm having another biopsy Friday morning as well. Sigh. Then, I'm hoping we can get on the road heading North as well, to son, Vince's, new digs. Have a bon voyage to Ohio, and have yourself some fun, Girl. Hugs.

  7. We'll usually run a restaurant down until we tire of it & then move onto another one :)

    Have a great trip!

  9. Will be praying for Joe tomorrow (and today!) that it goes well. I hope you'll have a wonderful time with Tristan. Sounds like fun. I can't even think of the last time we ate at a real restaurant. We're usually in a hurry and end up getting something from a fast-food joint or a small cafe. I guess it was at our granddaughter's wedding reception and in St. Paul that we had a real restaurant dinner. It was pretty wonderful. I need to get Mr. C. to take me there on a date. :-)

Hope you have a good weekend, Terri! xo

  10. I think sometimes we have gone to our 'special' restaurant so much, it's not special anymore! Time to find a new place! Happy Thursday.

  11. Boring?? Your life sounds quite full with family, friends, and always something going on in the works. Praying for good things, good health, good report for Joe.
The restaurant thing happens to us, too.

  12. Friday the 13th - - think of it as a "Baker's Dozen" - - which is a bonus of an extra blessing in the box! We will pray for good results tomorrow and an extra blessing to be found in the day! Our Lord can provide that little extra!

  14. Praying today's cardioversion goes well.

As for the Bonefish Grill, we have one here but we've never been. Sometimes restaurants just forget they need to work to keep their faithful customer base. Or it seems that way. We've gone thru that with another place, and now a restaurant with a similar menu style has taken their place in our preferences.
