Two things are about all I have for today. Work is crazy busy, with month end, quarter end, and also our year end.
- I'm thankful that family members are sending me photos they took last week. I shared mine with all of them. I want to do a Shutterfly book, so hope to gather more photos to share.
- The last load of laundry is in the dryer. I made steak on the Forman Grill tonight. It was good with some broccoli and a salad.
Joe and I are both tired. Getting back to a more normal routine is the pits. I am so ready to retire. Sigh. Thankful for my job that I love, but I am ready to retire.
Thanks for coming by. Prayers are still being lifted for my two friends who are fighting cancer and I thank you for keeping them on your lists, too. Fran and Karen, the prayers are flowing! Peace & hugs.
Hi Terri, The Shutterfly books are a wonderful idea. Sorry that work is so hectic; that makes coming back from vacation even more difficult! Your steak on the grill sounds delicious. Hope you have a good day!
ReplyDeleteIf anyone has a reason to want to go on holiday again, it would be you. As for the retirement, you'll see how you're counting the days of the last month before you officially retire. I know I did. Prayers continue for those in need. Have a good day, Terri.
ReplyDeletePrayer arrows just shot up for Karen and Fran.
ReplyDeleteYou sound like my husband! He can't wait to retire! We are hoping it will be this fall, if not, two more years 😕
Re entry after vacation is always such a hurdle.
Prayers for Fran and Karen. My husband was forced into retirement 10 years ago, he hates it. Praying that all will go well at work for you and you will get done what you need too. Blessings
ReplyDeleteIt seems the closer to retirement you get, the more the little things at work seem to agitate you. Or at least that happened to me!!
ReplyDeleteComing back to real life after a nice vacation is hard.
ReplyDeleteYay on the last load of laundry. That is always a good feeling.
Have a great day!
Prayers continue. I know how you are feeling about retirement. I retired when I was 62 and have never regretted a day. I miss being around people, but as for the work part....nada! Coming back from vacation is always hard, but it is still worth the trip. God bless you today as you get the end of the year reports done.
ReplyDeleteA Shutterfly book is a great way to keep memories! You can use it as a coffee table book and always have it at hand to look at or share! I am about 12 years away from retirement and I am already to get it started! Make sure to take some down time to rest up!
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for your prayers. So many angels all around us. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice of you to make the Shutterfly book for your family. What a great reminder of your awesome vacation. I hope the years leading up to your retirement fly by....well, not too fast!!! ;-) Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeletePictures are always so special, a moment in time captured on paper ~ something to look as you remember those special times. Remembering your friends Fran and Karen!
ReplyDeleteI think vacations tend to bring out the desire for retirement in everyone! Hope you soon get all of your pictures organized in a nice keepsake book that you can treasure forever.

It' so hard to work after vacation...
ReplyDeleteI've been praying for your friends.
Your post has made me decide to try grilling a steak on our Forman grill. I'm sorry work is wearing you out. I remember how exhausted I used to get. Hope the time comes soon for you to retire, but from all I know about you, it won't stop your active life and you will still be tired. :-)
ReplyDeleteLike you, we see retirement in sight but can't quit now. I also understand the hardships of getting back into routines after a vacation. Hang in there. Love reading your blog posts!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have earned that retirement. Hope it comes soon for you!! I'll send prayers for your friends too.
ReplyDeleteBlessings. xoxo
