Back to work, and our schools are back in session today. I left home early enough to miss the school buses and most of the teachers and high schoolers speeding to school. My mission during the school year is to make sure I'm not 5 minutes late, leaving the house, because that's all it takes to make my trip to work miserable! There are 4 schools along my route! I have no patience when stuck in traffic or behind a bus. Don't get me wrong...I love school buses and my hat goes off to the bus drivers. I just hate getting stuck behind one, stopping at every corner. Sigh.
Gregory (our techie friend) got my new laptop configured for safety, and also helped Joe with his new Kindle Fire, last night. We enjoyed his company, and that of his dog, Paisley. He had two helpings of my spaghetti, so I guess it was good! Paisley is afraid of our cats. It is so funny to watch the interaction (or, no interaction). This is Paisley, from Gregory's website:
I really have nothing else. Hoping for a better week ahead....
I appreciate your visit!! Peace & blessings!

Good Monday morning!!!!! Hopefully I can find time again to jump back in the blog world - - no promises though. My older daughter and I were discussing the difference five minutes makes in getting through traffic easier. I, too, have to pass schools but one way I go, there is only one school. There is a lengthy intersection wait right past it - - - unless you take a detour of a block and a half and then you only have to contend with the left on one road with no opposing traffic!!! Praying your week is GREAT!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute doggie! If I ever had one, I would want a small one like his. Hope you have a good Monday and that this week will be calm.
ReplyDeleteHe's such an adorable little guy. I'd like to have one like him. I know what you mean about the buses. Our town built new school buildings, outside of town. Grade school and high school together. Consequently the buses are bumper to bumper down the street. That makes it easy for us. Just stay off Shannon St..
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week ahead.
Awww Paisley is a cutie. I hate getting stuck behind school buses too. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHope your Monday is a good one. I'm really security-minded too when it comes to my gadgets. Well, I suppose I should say I'm paranoid, but I often see people posting things on Facebook from sites that aren't reliable As a matter of fact, I reported one not long ago to WOT (Web of Trust), and was not surprised that I wasn't the only one who thought it was a bad page.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet face on that dog. He's wise to be frightened of cats, at least some.
Paisley is pretty cute! Glad you got the laptop going!
ReplyDeleteI hate getting behind buses too.
aww..she is so cute..thanks for sharing. Happy to hear about the laptop and Kindle. Blessings
ReplyDeleteI love the sentiment expressed at the end, Terri! So nice. And I too hate getting stuck behind a bus. Better to get out ahead of them. I know the sinking feeling when running a few minutes late or not remembering that it was school time. Paisley doesn't look too ferocious. :-) Glad you got the security on your devices. I sure hope mine is working.
ReplyDeleteFunny about Paisley and your cats! Cute little dog.
ReplyDeleteThankfully, we don't have any schools near us.
Good to have a friend that can help with computer stuff. I have a Kindle Fire too and love it. Paisley is a little cutie!
ReplyDeleteSchool starts later there then here! Lol. Glad you got your computer up and running.
ReplyDeleteSchools here don't begin until after Labor Day. Always adds time to hubs commute, but I love seeing the school buses out and running. Fall is my favorite!
ReplyDeletePaisley is cute. Glad you got help setting things up! Yes just 5 minutes can make a huge difference in traffic. Hope your week is going well.
