Busy, busy day at work, but I knocked out all my quarterly reports, March sales tax, and am ready to move on to March financials tomorrow! I feel good about my accomplishments today. Whew!
Now, for some prayer requests and concerns. First, for my blogging friend's wife, Pat. Chuck, my prayers are with Pat and you! I request prayers for Pat, and also for my friend, Steve, who is recovering from surgery and headed for rehab later this week. We saw Steve at the hospital tonight, and reports are good. Another friend, Donald, had a stroke last week. Thank you for adding them to your prayer lists, if you will.
My Joe has been having some trouble swallowing. Been going on for about a year. He had a swallowing test awhile back, and they are FINALLY getting him in for a CT scan tomorrow morning. Prayers for a good diagnosis and that it will be something easily repaired. He has also been having some trouble breathing again, so the doctors are also getting him scheduled for a catheterization, to see if he has another blockage in his heart, or if one of his three stents is failing. Please keep Joe in your prayers, too. Thank you!!
We stopped at IHOP for dinner on the way home from the hospital. They have several menu items that work great on Weight Watchers. I love the egg white omelette, with spinach, mushrooms and tomoato! Zero points!! Ordered with fresh fruit, and it's a nice dinner (or breakfast) for maybe two points.
Now I am watching Dancing With The Stars. Every season, I say I won't watch the next, but I always do and I always get hooked. The young and very agile girls are doing quite well, but I am so cheering for Andy Dick. His dance just made me cry....right along with Carrie Ann and half the audience. I know he won't make it to the finals (or even close), but God bless him for getting clean and for being so brave!
I posted a photo this past weekend, of Onyx taking over my pillow. This morning, he and Lilly were between us...Lilly woke up as I snapped the picture, but you get the idea....

I will pray for your friends and especially for Joe, that all will be ok with his swallowing and breathing too. I know it feels good to be current at work. Love the kitties....they do love to be where we are or have been, dont they? lol Sleep good and pray Tuesday will be an extra special day.

ReplyDeleteSounds like busy, busy for you. Maybe I should try weight watchers. I'm exercising regular but I'm struggling with my weight the past few months. Gained 5 pounds :(
I really didn't care for TOPS as far as motivation . It was fun to get together with ladies though but it got to be a pain driving to the hours it was when my husband was coming home for supper.
Cheryl, Weight Watchers is a great plan. My mom went to TOPS (years and years ago) and it was all social, then, too. She never lost weight with TOPS. WW works!!

ReplyDeleteI was wondering if your cats snore. One of my friends had a dog that snored louder than most people. Oh well, at least Lucy can go back to sleep and hope you had a good Monday.
Onyx and Cookie snore!! Maybe it's because they are older. Haven't heard Lucy or Lilly snoring.
