Flying Over America!
This video (linked above) is an amazing, epic trip across America! It takes five minutes to watch, so please make sure you have time. It is SO worth seeing. What a beautiful, wonderful country we have! Enjoy it!
Nothing new or exciting to report today, so my blog will be short. I actually did my ironing last night! That's 'epic' in and of itself. I had about three week's worth of things that needed to be pressed. It doesn't take long, but it just seems like drudgery to me.
Hope you are all having a good day!! Peace, love & hugs.
That was amazing! I loved it. We do live in a wonderful country.
ReplyDeleteI'm a small town, Ohio girl, too. Born in Fayette County, but raised in Fairfield County... 30 miles east of Columbus in a one-traffic light town. Loved it!!
DeleteThis daisy background is so pretty and serene.
ReplyDeleteDo you remember the old days when you had to sprinkle clothes before ironing? My mom had a soda pop bottle fitted with a sprinkler head. I loved that thing. If she was ironing, I wanted to do the sprinkling for her. Now you would never catch me ironing. If I want to wear something that's wrinkled, I throw it in the dryer with a dampened washcloth for 20 minutes. If that doesn't work, I have some of the spray-on wrinkle remover. Anything to avoid hauling out the iron!
Yes, Brenda!! We had one of those coke bottles with the sprinkler head on it. My mom actually took it a step farther. We sprinkled, rolled the shirt (or whatever) up, and put a stack in the refrigerator! Ironing was a day-long process. Mom had a big ironer, that rolled around. You operated it with your knee. I could so sheets and hankies, but she could do a dress shirt in no time. Amazing! And of course, there had to be spray starch! LOL Glad it's not like that anymore!
DeleteGrowing up we would outgrow clothes before my mom got around to ironing them. lol

Chuck, Thank you for reading my pages. My friends and I are moving here from Multiply, and most of us are originally from Yahoo360. Sad that our Multiply blogging site is closing in December. My site is public right now, until my friends get moved over. At that time, I'll be making it more private again. Some of us have been friends for six years or more. Let's get to know each other and we'll see what happens when I close down Multiply and change my security levels here. T.
DeleteI understand Terry...I found you by accident. Please feel free to visit my multiply page at your leisure -- http://capndinghy.multiply.com/
ReplyDeleteAs a retired Airline Pilot I really enjoyed your video of Flying over America.
I made some vids a few years back of the various places I visited over the years. http://capndinghy.multiply.com/video/item/2/ThisLandisYourLand.wmv
I hope you enjoy it.
Regards,
Chuck
PS: No prob if you don't want to be friends...
What an awesome video!! It reminds me of the ride Soarin' at Epcot:-)
ReplyDeleteKris, you are so right about that. We loved that ride at Epcot. It had just opened when we were there last. Well worth going, though!
DeleteThat was beautiful! I loved it! I used to live in Columbus. Whitehall to be exact. My Grandpa Dildine use to live in Jefferson County.
ReplyDeleteI think that plane flew over my house at the beginning of the movie. LOL We have so much beauty here in the States, that it's a shame most of us never get to experience it. And I'm one of those :( Never been to the mid West, and only some states out West ~~ to CA and NV. Guess I need to stay in the States, and travel more within.
