July 2nd: Whimsical RW&B Fashion Fun

Happy birthday to my BFF, Elaine!!
-------------------------------

There isn't a link, and there aren't any rules.
Take a look at the dress and tell us which shoes you like best.
It's all for fun and just a whimsical thing!
Photos are from the Storybook of Dreams and Beauty.

This is as close as I could get to something festive for our Independence Day.  A little dressy for fireworks in the park, but perhaps not for a garden party.  Count down on the shoes, 1-2-3, and tell us which ones you like best for her dress.  It's all for fun and just a whimsical thing!!

My thoughts:  I'm choosing pair #1 today, but I wish they were red.  I will always take the lowest heel, as you know!  This is a very sweet summer frock that I might have worn 40 years ago. Today, there would be a girdle involved AND a shawl or light shrug to cover the arms (IYKYK).  What are your thoughts?

Peace and Hugs!

  2. I love shoe #3 even though the heel is a little high! They look festive. Happy Birthday Elaine!

  3. My thoughts exactly today...including the shrug and the "girdle" (I use control top panty hose, as I am one of those ladies who needs panty hose to wear with a dress. My legs just are not attractive enough to show off to the world, and the hose also make the shoes feel/fit better. LOL.

  5. I'll go with #1, Terri, but I wish it was in red, too. Loved that quote from Harry Truman. Happy Fourth!

  7. I like the print of the dress, but I’ve never really been into that style before. I’m with you on shoe #1, though just in red.

  8. Both shoe #1 and shoe #2 would work for me. Lovely dress but, at least in my world, shorts and capris far outnumber cute dresses for just about any occasion. That's sad. People in general just don't dress as attractively as they used to.

  9. Shoe #1 is so cute! And why is it so difficult to find navy shoes in the store?? I've never worn white shoes. No idea why, but never have. But I do love navy:)

What a pretty dress! I think the 3rd pair look very patriotic!

  11. I was immediately drawn to #1! Yep, to a shawl to cover my less-than toned upper arms.
    Happy birthday, Elaine!
