The Wednesday Hodgepodge...

Joyce has given us an October Hodgepodge!  Thanks, Joyce!  Join in HERE!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 571

From this Side of the Pond

1. Hey, it's October...what's one fun thing on your October calendar?  Two of my great-nieces are coming for a long weekend!!  Jackie and Lexie are super fun to be with.

2. Thursday is National Poetry Day (first Thursday in October)...do you like to read poetry? If so, what's a favorite poem, or whose poetry do you especially enjoy?  I have never been a fan of poetry and don't have a favorite.  I admire the poems my blogging friend Martha Jane Orlando writes.

3. Tell us about something you've seen recently that could be described as 'poetry in motion'My new niece-in-law, Megan, dancing with her dad at the wedding reception.  It was SO SWEET!

4. What's one song on your autumn playlist? Do you have an autumn playlist? If not, pretend you do. If yes, then feel free to share more than one.  I don't have any playlists for any season.  Pretending I have one... it would be Steve Tyrell, Michael Buble', and Harry Connick, Jr.

5. Share a quote that inspires you this time of year especially.  I had to go look for a quote and found this one that made me laugh:  "With the first leaf drop, so goes my enthusiasm for shaving."  It was anonymous but I could have written it! LOL

6. Insert your own random thought here.  Mike and Megan's wedding was beautiful.  I will post some photos on Friday.  Her "something old" is very special.

Peace and Hugs!

Give thanks with a grateful heart

  2. I am so happy you had such a nice trip and that it was a beautiful wedding. I imagine the dance was very heart rendering. More company coming. I still shave (lol).

  4. LOLOLOL ... that quote is priceless! I've never been especially fond of poetry, either; but now I'm feeling a tug to make an Autumn play-list -- at least in my head.
I can't wait to hear about Megan's 'something old'!
