So, here are some photos and some of the things we did last week...
Wednesday was Ash Wednesday. We all went to my church for the Ash Wednesday service. Lent has begun.
The Mas Verde group, including Jim & Elaine, went to Shell's for dinner on Thursday. That's us, way down at the other end of the table. The food is always good there!
It was very foggy on the way to work on Friday.
Coconut-crusted Mahi-mahi over rice with sauteed veggies. Yum!!
Posing with the pirate is a must!
We went to Fancy Farms for more strawberries and we all had a
strawberry milkshake before we went home.
Strawberry fields...
My church had a Missions Conference Sunday yesterday. Jim and Elaine went to get Bella from boarding and they did some grocery shopping. I was a greeter and we also had a potluck after the conference. It was very well done and it was great hearing from the missions that my church helps to support. I took pictures before it really got started and didn't take any photos of all the food. I made two pans of baked ziti with meatballs to take and one for us to have for dinner at home. There was lots of food, though!
I am working all day, today, so I can have Tuesday off. We are going to Sarasota for lunch at an Amish restaurant I've been wanting to try. It should be another fun day trip!!
I am so far behind in reading blogs but will try to catch up a bit this week. I am missing you!!

I am so glad you had such a good time with your friends. I know you will miss them when they are gone...but blessed to have had the time with them. Enjoy your workday. For some reason, 2 or 3 of your photos wouldn't open for me. Have a great week-xo Diana
ReplyDeleteGood report on your time together. It looks like an enjoyable time for all.
ReplyDeleteNice to be able to work all day today to have tomorrow off.
PS - I saw Diana's comment about pics not opening and wanted you to know they all opened for me. :)
You sure are seeing and doing a lot and it's so much fun with friends! The strawberries are so sweet. I made my hubby a milkshake last night! Enjoy your week. Don't worry about visiting blogs....just have fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful week!!! The pictures at Punta Gorda are amazing!! And those beautiful strawberry fields! Takes a lot of work to keep them looking like that!
ReplyDeleteWill you be eating at Der Dutchman? I have a friend who works there one day a week, but I'm not sure which day.
It is the Yoder's restaurant and Amish village. Not sure if Der Dutchman is the name of the restaurant? I will have photos!
DeleteGood Friends, Good Food, and Good Fun!! You are certainly living the Good Life!! ♥
ReplyDeleteMissing you too, but so glad you are having such a good time with your friends.
ReplyDeleteI know you wish they could move near you permanently. It is a true blessing to have a friend for that long. My mom has had 2 like that. I do not. Sadly, I didn't keep in touch with many from my youth. I know that is a true blessing. Punta Gorda is on my list after a book I read once. Take care and enjoy your day off tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI've sure missed you being here, too, Terri, but am so glad you've had so much fun with Jim and Elaine while they're here. Those are precious moments, for sure!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
So good to hear from you, Terri and know you 3 are thoroughly enjoying your time together! I'm glad Jim and Elaine were finally able to see one of my favorite spots in Punta Gorda. I've heard good things about Sarasota's Amish community, but never made time to visit. Have yourselves a blast!
ReplyDeleteWe've been missing YOU too, but we know you are spending time with Jim and Elaine, and that is the most important thing to do right now. But I thank you for this update and to hear all the fun things you've been doing! It all sounds wonderful! Oh, I have some fresh strawberries that I need to do something with, now that you mention strawberries! Gotta enjoy them while they are fresh! (although I bought these at Publix, but they are from Florida). Have a wonderful rest of your visit, and we'll be waiting to hear all about it when you are ready. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteI say this looked like you had a great time with friends and ate lots of great food! Love church too.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're having such a good time with your friends Terri.
