A big thanks to Joyce for today's Hodgepodge!! You can join in HERE!!
Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 480
2. Something from childhood you still enjoy today? Being with my family for sure, and eating mac n cheese or almost anything covered in cheese!! There was always cheese in our house.
3. Are you a fidgeter? No. What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word fidget? Joe... was a master at fidgeting!!
4. Your favorite fall vegetable? I like all vegetables (except okra) year-round. No seasonal designation for me. How do you like it prepared? I like most veggies steamed... not too raw-like and not too mushy.
5. What's something you find mildly annoying, but not annoying enough to actually do anything about? The phone ringing is probably the one thing I find annoying, but I am happy when it is a friend or family member. Might you now? No changes to be made.
6. Insert your own random thought here. When I got home on Monday from my trip to the family reunion, my cat/house sitter had brought in a black bag full of goodies. I was BOOed while away. It is a fun thing that has been done for a few years here. I need to go shopping for fun stuff and BOO someone else. If you get BOOed, you have to pay it forward. Have any of you been BOOed this year?

Hi Terri: I am a cartoon nut, from childhood up Saturday mornings were the day to watch cartoons.
ReplyDeleteFun post

I've never heard of "you've been booeh'! Sounds like fun though. I'm glad you had a good welcome when you got back. There's no place like home!
ReplyDeleteAmen to your #1, Terri! I vacillate on that myself -- torn between 'shoulda's' and happy to have spent $ when and where I did, while I was young enough to fully enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of a "Boo" bag but love the thought. I'm off to investi*Google that now!
In retrospect I am glad I did the things I did when young. No price on memories. But I too wish I was better positioned.... hows that for saying -- wishing I had more money LOL. :)
ReplyDeleteI think being boooed is a sweet thing - I was once - not this year. I don't know if you get trick and treaters at an apartment.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back.
I am a fidgeter.
Wish we had planned better for retirement too.
I don't like the phone to ring either - lol. Unless it is family or friend.
I've never heard of being "booed", but it sounds like fun! How sweet of someone to remember you that way and make your homecoming fun! I am a bit behind in reading, so I don't know if you've posted anything much about your trip. I have to go back and see what I've missed. I just know you had a great time and it was wonderful you were able to do that. What a blessing!! Welcome back home!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fidgeter, not good at sitting still.
ReplyDeleteI'm sick of spam calls!
I love that you were boo'd!
Boy, do I hear you on the retirement planning and this economy is not helping at all. We don't know exactly how much Tim's 401K has dropped but my mom just told me her IRA lost $10K in the last three months. Yikes! The BOO bag is a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteI brought home some cheese from our trip to Amish Country yesterday and it is delicious! I've never booed anyone. Sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteI've not been booed this year but have been in the past. It is such a cute and fun thing to do in a neighborhood. I should boo our neighbors this weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I need to boo some people at work,
