Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 466

From this Side of the Pond

1. Do you wear your heart on your sleeve? Elaborate.  No, but I am a pushover when it comes to animals and babies, especially.

2. A favorite love song?

3. Do you consider yourself a trusting person? Explain. I am trusting and tend to trust too fast, though have learned my lesson and am a little more careful now.

4. June 14th is National New Mexico Day...have you ever been to New Mexico (aka The Land of Enchantment)Nope.  Any desire to visit the state?  I would love to visit Santa Fe someday.   Some of the top-rated tourist attractions there are Carlsbad Caverns National Park, White Sands National Park, The Albuquerque International Balloon Festival, Bandelier National Monument, and The Georgia O'Keefe Museum, Santa Fe Plaza, and the Petroglyph National Monument. Of the attractions listed which would be tops on your list? Santa Fe is an art town so all of the art in and around Santa Fe would top my list (and I have friends there who it would be fun to visit!).

5. What's something you've found enchanting recently?  Gosh, it's been a long time since I was "enchanted" with anything but I sure had a wonderful time reconnecting with my friend, Lois, a few weeks ago, AND spending time with my sisters a week ago was also pretty wonderful!

6. Insert your own random thought here.  I hope we get nice neighbors in the new house across the street from me.  The noise has increased as they put in the driveway and carport, etc.  The for-sale sign is still in the window but I have seen a few cars stopping in front to look.  We have such a nice group right here around me so hoping we will continue to be blessed by good people.  (listening to the tractor while writing this!)

Peace & Hugs!

Psalm 31:24

“Be strong, and let your heart take courage,

all you who hope in Yahweh.”

  3. I know there are always a lot of people wanting to move here so someone will snatch it up fast, I'm sure. I lived in NM for a few years and I think I've done all the things on the list but I would be happy to spend time there again. Enjoy your day.

  4. I'd love to tag along with you to Santa Fe, to the Canyon Road art galleries, the Shed ... now my mouth's watering for their blue corn tortillas! I've not been back since 2000, but it's still a fixture on my bucket list.

  5. Oh, I didn't realize the new house wasn't already owned by someone and that it is for sale! Yes, we will pray that you get really sweet new neighbors. I know they will be blessed to have YOU for a neighbor! I've never been to NM, and I guess I never have thought about it much before. It would be nice to see the SW part of the country, but not in summer! LOL. Hope you are having a great week. It sure is HOT!

  8. Believe it or not, I have relatives in New Mexico - conservative Mennonites! Never been there.

Getting new neighbors is always interesting. We have really good ones on both sides of us, but they are all in their 80's, so who knows how soon that could change.

My son in law is from New Mexico and one of my sons lived there for awhile so yes I have been there. It was nice to visit and see the wide open land and white sands but Id miss my lakes and trees if I lived there.
    Hope you get wonderful neighbors
