Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 372
1. Last thing you said yes to? Did you regret it? I said "yes" to a change in the time for our fasting blood draws when the lab called to shift the location and give us a new appointment time. I don't regret it because it is a little later and the location is just across the street. Worked out just fine.
2. No big deal, no contest, no dice, no hard feelings, no ifs ands or buts, no kidding, no offense, no pain no gain, no way...choose one and tell us how it applies to your life currently. Haha... no pain no gain! My knee and physical therapy are my life these past four weeks and going forward a few more.
3. Thursday, June 11th is National Making Life Beautiful Day...in this strange season how are you adding beauty to your days/life? I've never thought about "beauty" being added to my life. We don't do flowers, for instance. What we DO do is keep up with our Bible readings, we pray, and we keep in touch with those we love in the many ways we can without personal visits. That's beauty for our hearts.
4. According to an article found here, these six foods taste better in June than at any other time of the year-strawberries, asparagus, peas, peaches, beets, and garlic. How many of these have you tasted so far this month? Anything on the list you'd say 'no thank you' to trying? Rearrange the list starting with your favorite (1) to your least favorite (6). Here in Florida, February/March are the best months for strawberries. In these first ten days of June, we haven't had any of those things on the list. I would not turn down any of them. I would rearrange the list like this: garlic, beets, asparagus, peaches, peas, and strawberries.
5. Describe your current mood in three words. Frustrated, frustrated, frustrated.
6. Insert your own random thought here. I had a massage at my chiropractor's office on Monday this week. Kelly was probably the best massage therapist I've had. She is tiny and I wondered just how good she would be getting knots out of muscles, but let me tell you... small but mighty! I asked her to target my left thigh muscles which have been so tight and hinder my knee's movement. Wow! Then she worked on my lower back and my shoulders. They have been hurting from bending over the walker and using the cane and walking 'funny' favoring the new knee. She found muscles I didn't know were hurting. It was an hour of blissful pain! LOL She told me I would probably hurt more the next day but to look forward to the day after that. She was right! Have you ever had a massage?
Happy birthday, today, to our son, Jeff!! He reads by email!!
Thanks for your visit!!
Your comments are appreciated!
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

I had one massage and it was heavenly. Interesting questions but enjoyed your answers. Hope you have aa good Wed. and the pain is all but gone in your knee.
ReplyDeleteI've never had a massage. Many years ago I went to a chiropractor for migraines and he would always massage my head before he adjusted me.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Well, I stand corrected. I just told Myra that I thought she'd be the only one to put strawberries at the bottom of the list and here you are doing it, too! LOL Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteGlad your knee and physical therapy
ReplyDeleteare going forward.
I enjoyed your answers.
Have a good Wednesday.
Yes, I've had several massages over the years, and could sure use one right about now. Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen for a while. :(
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Terri, and keep on healing!
I've only had one of those 'deep tissue' massages and prayed it would just be OVER. LOL. Beauty for the heart is perfect; with I'd have thought of that. Being that beets are #2 on your list, do you happen to have a good recipe for borscht?
ReplyDeleteNo, sorry, no borscht recipes. I love pickled beets, and made a delicious beet salad one year for our vegetarian daughter-in-law but can't find the recipe I used (just looked). There are lots of beet recipes on Pinterest though!
DeleteI love beets and eat them anytime I can. I like them cold, pickled, boiled. I like everything on the list, but would probably put garlic last, even though I add garlic powder to just about everything I cook...I'm not big on fresh garlic. But I know since you and Joe like Italian food so much that would be high on your list. I loved the strawberries too, when they were in season here in FL., but now all you can get are from California, and they are not as good, so I usually don't get them until I can get Florida ones again. Glad you are doing so much better. I've had one good massage at a ladies' retreat. Wouldn't mind another. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDelete"An hour of blissful pain!" You have such a way with words, Terri!
ReplyDeleteYes, I've had a massage but probably not as thorough as what you have described. I'm glad you gained from the pain!!
I have had a massage. Depends on the masseuse as to how much I like it. I'm glad you're healing and getting better every week. SC strawberries and peaches are some of the best and I made a peach cobbler while hubs mom was here. Stay well!
ReplyDeleteI miss those oranges that came through around in January in Florida.. not on the list but brought back a good memory... :)
ReplyDeleteThe sweet Valencias. Good for juice!
DeleteHugs to you and Joe and Happy Birthday Jeff!!!!
ReplyDeleteHa! No pain, no gain was written for you!
ReplyDeleteThe list of food all looks good except asparagus. :)
I never had a massage. Sounds wonderful!
I've never had a massage and not sure I want one. I've heard some horror stories about how painful they are! I'm glad yours was good!
ReplyDeleteGirl I am surprised that you feel frustrated - that is unusual for you. So you like no pain n o gain - probably from your new knee! I think reading a bible is a beautiful thing - you are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're feeling frustrated but I hope the massage did help eventually. (Sounded painful!) Belated birthday wishes to your son.
