Gray is the new neutral and this satin gown
seems to shimmer. Is it gray or silver?

My thoughts: I like the design of the gown but I'm not sure I would buy a gray gown. I do like all of the shoes (even though I couldn't wear them) but I really like #1 the best. There is just something about the texture which is rather like brocade that I really like. What are your thoughts?

I agree with your thoughts on the gown and the shoes, #1 would be my choice too. The picture makes the dress look a little more like taupe to me than gray, and I would lean towards taupe more than gray with my coloring. I am not a big fan of gray. Seems like everything is gray these days...houses, wall colors, furniture, etc. Just seems kind of depressing to me. But the gown is lovely...for those who could wear that style. One would have to be not too "hippy", and have broad shoulders. It's definitely not a dress for the more matronly woman. LOL. I love these weekly posts, however. Don't know where you get them, but they are fun.

I'm going with gray, on account it doesn't 'shout' like (my interpretation of) silver. Love the way it drapes across her hips! My vote goes to #1, as well.
