Thankful Thursday...

I am thankful for Rebecca Jo at Knit By God's Hand for hosting Thankful Thursday link-ups each week!  Thank you!!  You can join in HERE to share your blessings!!

** We got to the grocery yesterday and really, really needed groceries. Praise God! Thankful that we could restock.  The shelves were well-stocked at the store and we got everything on the list.

** We will go to Publix on Friday for the Easter dinner things we didn't get today. They need to be fresher.

** I am thankful for phone calls, texts, emails, Facebook, and BLOGGER!!  As my friend, Kalisa said, though... I am getting tired of these virtual hugs.  I agree. I am a hugger and sure miss hugging those I care for!

** I am thankful that the Polk Museum of Art posted the newest exhibition of student artwork online so it can be seen! The Student Gallery is my favorite and the talented kids always amaze me!! You can check it out right HERE.  Enjoy!

** I am happy my hair is short and growing it out isn't a bad thing since all the beauty/barber shops are closed now.

** I am thankful that continuing with the exercises I got from the physical therapist is working! I do them every other day and the pain is beginning to subside.  It is important to keep up with the work and strengthening my core muscles is really helping the back and hip.  My muscles are just mush so this is much needed!

** Joe and I have dermatology appointments scheduled in two weeks and they haven't been canceled yet.  It is our annual check-over.  My pre-op appointment for my next knee surgery is in three weeks and it hasn't been canceled yet either. Fingers crossed. I need to get it done.  May 12th.

** As always and as mentioned above, I am thankful for all of you!! Easter blessings!

Thanks for checking in!

Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  1. Thankful for YOU, and so glad you are both doing well. Glad you are getting closer to your knee surgery, and praying it won't be cancelled. I know you want to get that over with. My hair is longer than it has been in a long time. I may have to trim the top to keep it out of my eyes. It's driving me crazy...well crazier than my usual crazy! LOL. Have a blessed day.

  2. Even at this time, we still have so much to be thankful for. My next epidural was supposed to be 4-27 but is cancelled. I go to the hospital now to get those and just cant go now. Will rescheduled once this is all behind us and pray the sciatica stays calm. Glad you are doing well and was able to get the groceries you needed. Have a good Thursday.

  3. Yes, everything is closed here; barbershops/beauty shops, I was suppose to go today. Oh and all surgeries have been postponed, all doctors offices are closed too. It is a sad state of affairs that we are in, sigh. 39 days and counting here.

I see the stores have been keeping stocked and for that, I am thankful for.

    Keeping you in prayer.

  4. I'm wishing my hair was short just about now, Terri. Lord, I need some highlights and a trim, but that's not happening for at least another month, so I'll just deal with it. Glad everything is on schedule medically for the both of you. Let's hope it stays that way!
    Blessings!

  5. I'm glad you were able to get what you needed from the store. We were able to get most things we needed on our last trip. Still no toilet paper but we still have some. Have a great day!

  6. Checked out the art work. They were all good, but some were excellent. I can't believe how talented so many kids are. Amazing.

  7. I am happy enough with "virtual" visits at this point... We are essentially locked down here..... no family get together this year for the first time ever.... hard to even imagine we have come to this...
Glad you are well supplied. I can't complain... everything I need is delivered by a masked person who knocks and them disappears into the ether!!! :)

  8. Speaking of hair ---I am horrible at doing hair. Just ask my daughter who always wanted me to be able to French braid. Well, I have my first haircut after watching a Youtube video yesterday to my husband.
I am grateful that I can use technology to virtually see friends and family, cuz otherwise I would be really sad.

  9. I got everything we needed this morning, too. I already had a small ham, but went ahead and bought a lamb roast that was on sale today. Tim will have to decide if we will have ham or lamb. Either way, we'll just have the other another day. I'm glad those exercises are helping you so much. I'm going to have to get back to the doctor and have him refer me to physical therapy again once this is all over. Have a blessed day!

  12. So glad you're doing well and sure hope those appointments aren't cancelled. I have cancelled some of mine, hope I can re-schedule soon. I did an online order with Kroger and they were only able to give me half of my order, WoW...I was shocked. Going to shop online with HEB next time. Prayers you and Joe stay well.

  13. Now I'm wishing I'd gone to Wal-Mart (v. Winn Dixie) this morning. I'm practically addicted to their green leaf lettuce, and our other stores don't stock it. Great to know about the exercises helping abate your pain! If I don't start moving about pretty soon I fear even my elastic-waist pants will body-shame me. Keep well, my friend!

  14. Hope you are able to have your knee surgery done as scheduled. I had a hip done in Feb. and have an appt in June to talk about knee replacement in August and I'm hoping that's a "go" too.
