Thankful Thursday with Rebecca Jo...

Thanks to Rebecca Jo for hosting our blessings each Thursday at Knit By God's Hand.  You can join in HERE

I  am on my way to Tampa General Hospital this morning for my pre-op tests and X-rays.  Joe can't be with me so it's just me and WAZE.  I'm thankful that the traffic will be lite and there will hopefully be a place open in the parking garage!! TGH is huge but they are open again for elective surgeries so it might be hopping!

I am thankful to see the end of April get here because (here in FL) things are starting to loosen up a bit. Parks & golf courses are open again and next week stores and restaurants are allowed to open with 25% capacity. Not sure how that will work after seeing the long lines at Sam's Club, but it is at least a start.

I am thankful that our county's seniors will get a real graduation at the end of June.  They actually polled the 5,700 seniors and gave them a choice of mailing the diplomas, doing a drive-thru graduation, or actually having commencement ceremonies in June.  Supposedly over 3,500 of them responded to have the actual ceremonies.  They have missed so much. This will be good.

I am thankful for so many things and I am thankful the most for family and friends, including each of you!!

Thanks for your visit today!

Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  1. Praying you are safely on your way to your appointment (hopefully not this early as it is only 5:30 am) but soon, and that all will go well for you. It's too bad Joe can't go with you, but I am sure you will be fine. Praying so. Glad to hear your county will have real graduation ceremonies for the seniors. I don't know if our schools will do that here or not. I didn't get to hear all of the governor's announcement yesterday, so I guess I need to listen all the way through as I didn't know all the things you said. I am looking forward to getting back to "normal" soon. Have a blessed and safe day.

  2. Praying for good news at your appointment. How wonderful that the seniors will get to have a real graduation ceremony! I don't think that will happen here in PA. Schools are still trying to decide how to handle class es in the fall. Most are mentioning social distancing. Some are talking about continuing online learning. It is the same for colleges. I wonder if this virus will change the school system as we've known it? I guess time will tell. Have a blessed day!

  3. Keeping you in prayer.

I am so happy to know the seniors will have commencement. Here, at least my Univ. has cancelled and will hold it with the 2021 class next May...so not going to participate. Lord only knows where we will be then.

  4. Praying that things go good with your tests and X-rays.
Sorry Joe can't be with you.
I can't be with my husband either.
Our Missouri Governor has declared some things will open.
We will see how that goes.

  6. Our Granddaughter #1 (grandchild #2) gets to have her graduation in late June instead of Memorial Day weekend in May. We are happy for her. These kids are having to learn some tough life lessons but they'll get through it and be stronger for it.

  8. Wow about the graduation … and restaurants, too. Florida is definitely pacing ahead of Alabama. Too late now, but I'm wondering if TGen doesn't have valet parking. Crossing my fingers for good results!

    1. They normally do, but suspended for now. I found a good spot in the garage, close to the elevator. Success!

  9. I'm so thankful that the surgery is going to happen!
Glad Florida is starting to open. Hoping that happens here too. I have 2 nieces who are graduating this year, so we're still waiting to see what happens.
