The Easter Bunny Bop
Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants' posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!Saturday 9: The Easter Bunny Bop (2015)
Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.
1) This song encourages little ones to celebrate Easter by doing a little dance. Do you feel like dancing this morning? I'm not much of a dancer anymore, but I sure feel blessed knowing our Savior conquers all tomorrow!
2) Everyone in this video is wearing bunny ears. Target, Amazon and other retailers sell bunny ear headbands sized for adults and priced at about $5. Will you be wearing bunny ears, or perhaps a more conventional chapeau, this weekend? Or, because of the coronavirus, will your Easter attire be the same as any other day? My attire will be more casual than usual this Easter but I will be dressed for church on Facebook!
3) This week's featured artists, The Bounce Patrol Kids, are a children's entertainment juggernaut: CDs, DVDs, downloads, and t-shirts. Additionally, they often update their YouTube channel because they want children the world over to have access to their upbeat, energetic songs for free. Besides the Bounce Patrol, what's the last YouTube video you watched? I have been watching quite a few videos posted by friends on Facebook but the most recent was about exercises for people over 50.
4) According to Forbes magazine, the average American household spends $20.66 on candy each Easter. Will you be consuming candy this weekend? There is usually candy in the house. We buy big bags of a variety of candy bars for our candy dish. We did buy chocolate bunnies for Helen & Cheryl.
5) The biggest chocolate Easter egg was made in Italy, measured 34 feet tall and weighed a staggering 15,000 lbs. Do you think it's possible to have too much chocolate? Yes, and I have had too much chocolate a few times. Yuck!
6) After chocolate, the top-selling Easter candy is Peeps Marshmallow Chicks. They're so popular that, in 2018, they were the subject of a Jeopardy clue. Do you often watch Jeopardy? Not often, but now and then, yes.
7) Jelly beans are also popular this time of year. In a 2019 poll, jelly bean fans responded that Jelly Belly Buttered Popcorn is their favorite flavor. Sam is crazy about cherry. Do you have a favorite? Joe and I both love black jelly beans. We love licorice and my sister, Tammy, got Joe two pounds of black beans for Christmas last year! They were gone before the end of January!
8) We've been talking a lot about sweets this morning. The only holiday that generates more candy sales is Halloween. When do you eat more candy: Easter or Halloween? Probably Easter. We don't buy candy for Halloween anymore since we don't have beggars come to the door.
9) Easter is considered the season of rebirth. What makes you feel refreshed or rejuvenated? Easter, with its promises for sure... and with it, comes springtime with new birth all around us! Flowering trees, gentle breezes, blue skies, fluffy clouds... and the older I get the more I rejoice with each morning when I am awake, healthy, have a roof over my head, food in the pantry, and coffee. Praise God!!

Today is all about waiting. Can you imagine the sadness of those who loved Jesus and still didn't understand what was to happen? And then the confusion and hopeful joy they felt on Easter morning, discovering the tomb was empty? Thank you, Jesus, for all You endured for me. I am humble before You!
Easter blessings!!
Thanks for your visit today!
Peace & hugs. God bless!!

I like black jellybeans too but popcorn ones are my favorite. I dont watch Jeopardy or havent in years. Hope you have a nice Saturday while awaiting the special day of Easter.
ReplyDeleteI love the black licorice ones, smiles. I totally agree with your last thought, have a beautiful Saturday friend.
ReplyDeleteI need to get out more. I've never had popcorn jelly beans. I like the black ones but a huge bag of them would be too much licorice for me.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Next to the day of crucifixion itself, today is probably the most sad day in world history when people, as you said, did not yet understand what was happening. But praise God, we know what happens next!
ReplyDeleteAs for too much chocolate, I have recently been reminded that the delicious Ghiardelli chocolate is too much for me. Gives me a terrible headache. I can handle the less-intense chocolate (Nestle's).
Well I can tell that I do not have young grands here anymore as I do not know that children's group.lol We have too much Easter Candy here. Reeses Eggs are my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI love that you still gift the chocolate bunnies to Helen and Cheryl! I don't remember having eaten jelly beans since grade school. Maybe I wasn't doing it right, because they'd get gooey-stuck in my back teeth. :(
ReplyDeleteLove your closing thought.... amen!
I'm not a huge sweets person, but I do like the buttered popcorn jelly bellys. And I'm not much of a chocolate person at all. I don't hate it, mind you, but I don't have the affinity for it that most women do. Give me a blond brownie over a chocolate one!
ReplyDeleteWe watched The Passion of the Christ last night. It's an Easter week tradition for us. The enormity of what our Lord endured for us is beyond comprehension. (And, yes, I know a movie doesn't even come close to capturing his real suffering.) His amazing love for us is mind-boggling.
Blessings,
Patti
We will watch it today. It is hard to watch and sure makes His sacrifice real.
DeleteMy dad liked the black jelly beans. I think they are so gross. Loved your answers! Have a nice day!

Never developed a taste for jelly beans, but chocolate? Now, that's a whole other story!
ReplyDeleteOften, Terri, on this Holy Saturday, I try to put myself in the shoes of those frightened, confused and hurting disciples, perhaps too consumed by grief to remember that Jesus told them He would be raised from the dead. What a glorious first Easter morning it must have been!
Blessings!
I'll be wearing the usual clothes here- and no bunny ears!
ReplyDeleteWe have purchased and eaten some Dove dark chocolate eggs. Our favorite!
Blessed Easter to you and Joe.
You'd think whif theole Resurrection thing was a hoax, the disciples would have figured out a better way to present it than shock, surprise, disbelief, maybe even fear at what had just happened! Our awesome Lord! Praise God that death was swallowed up in victory! Have a blessed Easter, Terri and Joe. I get to eat dark chocolate and candy once again. I've been saving my Italian candy for Easter dessert. Can't wait until Christians are once again able to congregate for the preaching of the Word and the Lord's Supper.
ReplyDeletePS. Air hugs to you too. 😊
ReplyDeleteTerri, what a fun Q&A! I like black jelly beans but my favorites are the orange ones. I'm not much for peeps! I'm not sure what I will wear tomorrow for Easter! Have a lovely weekend!!
ReplyDeleteI have never met anybody that liked the licorice jelly beans. LOL. You are a hero.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter
