Saturday 9 Time...

Thanks to Crazy Sam for this week's Saturday 9.  You can join in HERE.

I Don't Care

Welcome to Saturday 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants' posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

 Saturday 9: I Don't Care (2019)

Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.

1) This song begins with Ed Sheeran admitting he's not enjoying the party he's at. What's something you have to do this weekend, but don't want to do it?  I guess I'll say the laundry since that is the only thing on my list to do. It must be done, though!

2) Justin Bieber sings about trying to have a conversation at a party. Have you seen any of your social gatherings canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic?  Everything has been canceled!

3) Both Ed and Justin conclude that this party -- and everything else -- is okay because they're with the ones they love. Who in your life always makes you feel comfortable and content?  Joe, of course.

4) Ed and Justin have both appeared on The Simpsons. Are you a Simpsons fan?  I have never watched an episode of The Simpsons.

5) Speaking of animation, Ed Sheeran has said that he'd love to do a Disney soundtrack, like Elton John's Lion King. Do you have a favorite Disney movie?  I can't tell you the last time I saw a Disney movie and I don't have a favorite.

6) Justin Bieber is fluent in French, and Ed says he knows enough to get by. Say something to us in French.  wee-wee ??

7) Justin can solve a Rubik's Cube in less than two minutes. Are you good at puzzles?  I am terrible at puzzles but Joe is great at them.

8) In 2019, the year this song was popular, 20 new governors took office. Tell us something about the governor of your state (or commonwealth)?  Our Governor DeSantis is doing a good job for us here in Florida during this lock-down.

9) Random question: Did you more recently give a compliment, or receive one?  I have no idea since the only person I see daily is Joe and we typically don't dish out compliments to each other.

I will say that I am not a Justin Bieber fan and have never heard this song... just to set the record straight!  LOL

How is your Saturday shaping up?
Thanks for your visit!

Peace & hugs!  God bless!!

  2. You've never seen the Simpsons? Wow, that is saying something since they've been on for like, 30 years or so! Working on laundry here, too. Woohoo. Have a blessed Saturday, Terri!

  5. The Simpsons can be very funny and a sad example of human life. I haven't seen them in a long time now. Don't touch your face? yikes! Now I want to! LOL. I've never heard a Justin Bieber song. I'm too old for him, I guess. Last Disney movie, I think it was a Disney movie: Cinderella with Lily James as Cinderella. I watched it on TV, and I loved it. I love Lily James (she was in Downton Abbey as Rose) and also in The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society movie. I loved that one too. Great story. I read the book first, and the movie was pretty true to the story, maybe even better. Okay, that's all for now. Have a happy Saturday.

  6. Not a Bieber fan, nor do I like puzzles, Terri, with the exception of word scrambles like the Jumble. And I can't stop touching my face, but then again, I'm not in contact with ANYONE except immediate family stuck in the house with me.
    Have a great weekend!

I didn't realize how wonderful living
NORMAL could be until I didn't have it
    anymore.

  9. Not a Bieber fan here, either. Add to that, Disney movies and the Simpsons. Laughing out loud at your avatar -- on account while I was reading this my chin was resting on my left hand and my fingers were crossed over my mouth. *sigh*

  10. Disney movies: yes, I have some favorites, but I like the music even more. But perhaps my fondest memory of a Disney song is the 7 dwarves singing "Hi Ho Hi Ho, it's home from work we go..." When we lived in Orlando in 1995-1996, one of the local radio stations always played that song (the original soundtrack) at 5pm on Fridays. I loved that.

    1. That is a great memory, Barb, and I think I might have recognized Disney music before movies. We didn't have little ones to watch Disney stuff and we just don't see animated shows very often. I'm aware, but couldn't say I have a favorite. I did watch Frozen, and Lion King years ago.

  11. I'm not a Justin Bieber fan either and don't know any of his stuff. And I have never watched The Simpsons either. I'm also not a huge fan of animated films---give me a meaty, black and white drama. But I do have fond memories of watching Disney animated films with my kids when they were little. I think my faves are Robin Hood and Cinderella.

Two different gals I know had weddings scheduled for this spring (not here in Idaho). Of course, both have been affected by the quarantine. One gal has postponed her wedding. The other is going ahead with it, and will be done by Zoom, as even her wedding officiant has cancelled on her. So sad!

    1. We didn't have little ones growing up so I didn't have a big Disney watch list. Weddings canceled is sad. I see in the newspaper that even funerals are being delayed. I think things will begin to open up again soon.

  12. I don't care for either of those two young men, so I'm not familiar with their music. I've never watched The Simpson's, but I have done a lot of laundry in my life...it never goes away!! I think Gov. Abbot is doing a great job for us Texans, I hope he continues to do so. Even tho we're locked down and shut down life goes on. Mr D and I enjoyed our morning coffee on the swing watching the birds and squirrels play, it was great! Hope you and Joe stay well.

Our Governor is Gretchen Whitmer, and I'm not a fan of hers either!
