Friday Photos!

We finally got down to the farm (Joe's client) on Wednesday morning.  We didn't see the owners because of Mrs's. health issues but we did talk with Aronel and their granddaughter, who is home from college and lives with her grandparents.  While Joe did his accounting work, I visited and gave treats to some of the animals...

The cattle were out front on our way in! I love being greeted by them!

Look at that brand new little baby!!

Her bougainvillea bushes are so beautiful and are
leaving puddles of petals on the ground.

Their granddaughter is home and so is her dog, Brodie (not sure how she spells it).
He is so beautiful.

Doc and Pistol are in a pasture farther than I wanted to walk
so I drove there.  When they saw me walking to the gate,
they started walking toward me (and the carrots).

As I was leaving...

The three parrots all got carrots.  These are the two babies.
They are for sale if you know someone who would like this
brother and sister.  They are sweet and have been handled.

Mallow is a sweet cockatoo.  He got carrots.

This is Karma. Karma is kind of mean. He will take a carrot
piece from me now without biting my finger.

Some of the goats were put in a this area where the ducks and geese
usually roam so they would eat down some of the over-growth
of the bougainvillea bushes on this side of the property.

That is all I have for you today.  I feel blessed that we were able to get out a bit.  We did go to Publix for a few things yesterday. Just milk and cheese. There weren't too many shoppers.  The plexiglass is in place to protect the checkers and there is tape on the floor marking off six feet to wait in line safely.  It was a pleasant experience and we got what we needed. The shelves were stocked.

Keeping safe, as I'm sure you are too!  Thanks for your visit!

Peace & hugs!!  God bless!!

  4. We went to Walmart for groceries yesterday. Not too many shoppers and 3/4 of the food shelves filled. No toilet paper, wipes, Lysol or hand sanitizer. We were able to get almost all of what we needed.

I love your farm pics! Stay safe!

  5. I bet Brodie is happy to be on the farm, grin. Yesterdays shopping experience for us was not pleasant. I am afraid folks are only going to get more uglier as this "house arrest" stays in place.

  6. Glad you got to go to the ranch! Do they need another parrot? Not sure if our found parrot was ever collected by its owner. Terri, thank you for the comment on Autism post I did. I thought I hit publish and hit delete by mistake and I could not retrieve it to add to comments. So sorry. I should not be working on the computer at bedtime.lol

  7. I am so glad you got to get out and go to the farm. Love seeing the animals. Obviously, they LOVE seeing you (and the carrots, of course!) What a pretty dog! And those bougainvillea bushes are gorgeous...as long as you don't bump into their thorns! So the goats will eat those? Wow!! Our grocery store (Hitchcocks) doesn't have the plexiglass shields, but they do have the check out lanes marked for 6 feet apart, as does the Dollar General store. Our grocery store is never crowded so it hasn't been a problem to go there as needed. We are thankful it is close by. May God continue to bless you and Joe and keep you safe and healthy!!

  8. It's fun when animals come to greet us, be they dogs, cats, cows, horses, goats. Carrots for Parrots. Sounds like a book title.

Good outdoor pictures. I'm glad you could get out to "talk to the animals" this week!

  9. Wow on those bougainvillea petals! I'm imagining an outdoor wedding and the bridge walking that path. Brodie's so-so pretty.
Curious, after you get back from the store, do y'all first wipe down the merchandise before bringing it inside? We haven't been (doing that), but now I'm growing suspicious of every little thing.

    2. I got the bride/bridge. No biggie! No, we have not been wiping down the groceries but I do wash (better than usual) any produce not in protective packaging. We wash our hands and use sanitizer though and are careful about that. I know many are spraying or washing everything and leaving some things outside or in the garage for several days. Just wash your hands and don't touch your face. Everything I have read so far says airborne contaminants are our biggest culprit.

  11. Beautiful sky! Beautiful cows, birds, and dog! Beautiful, petal-strewn path. What a lovely outing you and Joe had. I'm jealous---it's been windy and cold lately, so I haven't been out for a walk.
