Ooh La La
Welcome to Saturday 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme! Saturday 9: Ooh La La (2013)
Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.
(This is Terri... I am not a Britney fan, but here we go...)
1) "Ooh la la" is defined as an interjection said when you think someone or something is "surprising, unusual or attractive." Looking back over this week, did you come across anything that deserves an "ooh la la?" Visiting the Hollis Gardens on Friday with my blogging friend, Barbara, and her Beloved gave us some ooh-la-la moments. (Watch for my weekend recap for photos!)
2) In this song, Britney Spears sings that she's eager to accompany you, even if you're not a millionaire. But let's say you suddenly become really rich. What's the first leisure trip you would take with your new funds? I would arrange to go back to Italy. Who would you bring along? Joe, of course, and Jeff & Kali and Joey & Darlene. Let's go!!
3) Britney is eager to dance with you, even if you don't wear designer clothes. Let's say you need to add a blouse (or shirt) to your wardrobe. Where's your go-to for clothes shopping? Bealls or Belk.
4) The video begins with Britney at the movies with her two young sons. Will you be seeing any family members this weekend? Yes, we will have dinner with my sister, Patti, and Greg tonight, over at Disney Springs!!
5) This is a theme from the movie Smurfs 2. A Smurf is a little blue creature who lives in a mushroom-shaped house in the forest. Assuming that your home is not shaped like a mushroom and isn't in the forest, how would you describe your abode? (Mansion, ranch house, farmhouse, high-rise, igloo ...) We live in a double-wide manufactured home, all on one level so more like a ranch house I guess.
6) Britney admits to smoking and biting her nails. What bad habit do you wish you could break? Snacking and over-eating.
7) In 2013, when this song was popular, Pope Benedict resigned. Thinking over your working life, have you been more nervous on your first day of a job, or the last one? Probably the first day, but I don't really remember being nervous.
8) Also in 2013, golfer Phil Mickelson won the British Open. When did you most recently golf? I quit golfing back in 1981 or so. I've been mini-golfing since then, but a true 9 or 18 holes... late 70s/early 80s. I was not very good.
9) Random question -- On what part of your body was the last itch you scratched? My head, I think. Not sure I even pay attention. LOL
Thanks for your visit today and thanks to Crazy Sam for this week's questions! You can visit her HERE to join in.
Peace & hugs! God bless!!

Have a wonderful time at Disney Springs!
ReplyDeleteOh I am hopeless at all the new songs. I am stuck in the70s, the last time I really listened to music a lot. Once I got married and had children, I seldom listened to the radio. Like you, if I was loaded I would go to Europe. My bro in law and his family were just in Italy for two weeks and oh my goodness, the pictures were beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great weekend, Terri. I enjoyed your answers, smiles.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad; no way I could name a single Britney song (before this).
ReplyDeleteI would SO love to visit Italy again … if I could cruise over and back, that is. :) Hope y'all enjoy great fun and food tonight!
Terri, you sure have been blessed with great times and company. That's wonderful. Enjoy your evening! I wouldn't mind going back to Italy either! (And I am not a Britney Spears fan either. Actually never heard anything of hers.)
ReplyDeleteOooo.. Italy, how wonderful. Have a wonderful time out tonight. Sounds like a happy time.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful time and great weekend.

I am not a fan of hers either - but I would love to go with you to Italy!
ReplyDeleteHollis Gardens definitely deserved an "ooh la-la"! I should have taken more pictures than I did!
ReplyDeleteNo fan of Brittney Spears, although my daughter loved her as a teen. Glad the Hollis Gardens were delightful - looking forward to your photos, Terri. Enjoy dinner tonight!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
I'm not a Brittany fan either. Italy sounds wonderful, I would love Ireland too!
