There are a multitude of things to be thankful for each day and multiplied by at least 10 for each week, etc., etc. But today I am just going to mention how thankful Joe and I are for having found Redeemer Presbyterian Church (PCA).
The Pastor and Elders called us in on Tuesday evening to meet them at the church to just talk with us about our faith journeys and the classes we just took. It was relaxed and sweet. After about 45 minutes, they voted unanimously to accept us into membership. We both got hugs and welcoming words. It felt so good and felt so right. They will "introduce us" to the rest of the congregation on a Sunday yet to be determined. Praise God for this journey!!
Our Pastor invited us to join his small group. There are five or six small groups that will begin meeting again in the Fall, twice a month. We accepted and look forward to it.
I am also thankful for all of you!!

ReplyDeleteI don't remember if I've told you we joined a church this past Sunday, too. First Baptist Church of Ocala. We have visited 3 Sunday School classes and probably will continue with the most recent one.
We are at peace with our decisions and share your joy in getting that matter settled in all of our lives!
So much going on here this week. The landscaping project began yesterday and should be done Monday (I think, and weather-permitting). We've got a good team of guys doing all the work. Thankful for them.
