This is kind of weird. It's from a set of "Storywise" cards that were made for Alzheimers patients, which they have at the facility where my mother lives.
1. The strangest place you've ever been. Soloman's Castle in Ona, FL Kind of weird, but fun!
2. Unusual food combinations you enjoy. From earlier this week, peanut butter & dill pickles.
3. Your best cure for hiccups. Nothing ever works for me.
4. Something you have never done but would like to try. Kayaking.
5. A routine you do every day without fail Shower!!
6. Something new you've recently learned. Lots of new things from my new PT job.
7. Your keenest sense. My hearing (and my intuition).
8. Whether you prefer cooking or cleaning up. Definitely cooking.
9. Where were you the last time you saw the sunrise? In my kitchen.
10. A recent time you were embarrassed. Can't remember! I am rarely embarrassed. I am who I am!
11. An everyday sound that delights you. The Keurig making my coffee!!
12. The last conversation you had with a stranger. Yesterday at work. I don't know all the patients yet, so I am talking with strangers all the time! LOL
We are off to Redeemer Presbyterian this morning! Our techie friend, Gregory, couldn't come over Friday night. He went home from work with a migraine, so he is coming by after church to have lunch with us and try to fix our internet issue. We had fun with Jill & Murray last night. Looking forward to a quiet afternoon and evening!
Thanks for your visit!! Peace & hugs!! God bless!!
Good questions and good answers. I prefer cleaning up to cooking; my keenest sense is seeing (I notice the little things) and I learn something new every day it seems. An everyday sound that delights me is the fireplace when it clicks on, on these cold wintery days. Have a blessed Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI will go with the coffee maker.. Nothing like a good cup of Joe -- especially for you! :)
ReplyDeleteOK. To get rid of hiccups, take a large glass of room temperature water. Take a deep breath and start drinking. Swallow, swallow, swallow and do not breath while drinking. About the time you feel like you will pass out, stop and the hiccups will be gone.
ReplyDeleteI guess my intuition is pretty good, and so is Lili's!
I always wanted to try kayaking too. Looks so fun. Hope you get your internet issue fixed.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Hiccups...have you tried peanut butter?
ReplyDelete"The strangest place you've ever been."
This is really great question! It has got me thinking.
I love your answers, Terri. I hope your friend can get your internet issues fixed. Have a really blessed Sunday- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh, I do love that sound of coffee brewing, and the aroma! And the day never starts out right until I've had my coffee AND my shower.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Terri, and enjoy your Sunday!
Definitely more fun to cook than to clean up!! And I'm always delighted when I hear the coffee maker brewing my our coffee. Happy Sunday!!
ReplyDeleteLots of peanut butter and pickle people. I have never tried that. Loved your answers! Have a great day!

When I last went to the doctor's a nun came out of his insulting room crying her heart out.
ReplyDelete"What’s wrong with her?" I asked the doctor.
"I told her she’s pregnant." He replied.
"That’s awful, terrible. Is she really pregnant?" I asked.
"No, but it has cured her hiccups." He said.
God bless.
Regarding #2 (peanut butter and pickles) -- you're not PG are you?! (smile)
ReplyDeleteVictor's joke about hiccups is good. I have a hard time with hiccups, too.
LOL - No, Barb. Not no way, not no how!! I have been eating peanut butter and pickles since grade school. It was one of our lunch choices in school!
DeleteI've no sure-cure for hiccups; in fact, I rather enjoy them. LOL. My hearing is my super power, too … altho' I used to pretend otherwise on occasion. We'd make a good team, Terri … I'd rather clean up ANY time than (try to) cook!
