Friday Foto Friends...

Thank you, Debbie, for hosting Friday Foto Friends!  If you want to join in, visit Deb at Breathing in Grace and link-up with others sharing photos from our week!  Just click HERE!

Since we didn't go to the farm (Joe's client) today, I told Joe that I needed to get a few photos to share today so we stopped at Lake Morton, which is Lakeland's bird sanctuary.

There were pelicans gathered on the bank on around the curve above but there was no place to park so I could get a good picture.  The pelicans and the storks always fascinate me, but the swans, geese, ducks. anhingas and egrets are also fun to see.

When I got off work yesterday, I stopped in to help a neighbor finish the HOA February newsletter.  She had some major surgery last week and put out a plea for some help to get the newsletter finished. She works in Publisher and I've used it before so we worked together to get it done. She said no one else responded. I was happy to help and it has been sent to the printer. She told me she started doing the newsletter when her husband died a few years ago so she would have something to do. She does a great job for us!  Her daughter is staying with her right now to help.

Okay, some of you will think this is gross but is anyone else watching a show called Dr. Pimple Popper?  She is a dermatologist and helps people with some pretty terrible skin problems. Joe and I got hooked on it.  We both like Untold Stories in the ER and other medical shows like that. I guess we are weird.

I'm doing laundry and cleaning today (my day off) and have to work tomorrow.  Our Saturdays are always busy so I'll be happy for 12:30 to arrive.

Thanks for your visit today!  Peace & hugs!  God bless!

  2. Love the birds! Especially the swans...they are so graceful and lovely. Looks like a wonderful place to visit. No, I don't watch Dr. Pimple Popper. The title alone grosses me out...LOL. You might have made a good nurse if you enjoy that! That was nice of you to help the lady with the newsletter. I am sure she appreciated your help, and not everyone would know how to do that. Have a wonderful day today. God bless you and Joe and keep you healthy!!

  5. Glad your Writing and Publishing skills came in handy this week Terri. As for Dr PP even as a nurse, dermatology surgeries were not my favorite. Some of the procedures were pretty gross and everyone thinks dermatologists have it easy!!

  6. I haven't brought myself to watch The Pimple Popper yet, it is such a gross title. Seems like they could have found something better. lol I love the medical shows and enjoy watching Untold Stories of the ER, they get some characters in there. Mr D and I love going to Sylvan Beach and watching the seagulls and pelicans. There used to be a swan that would come into the boat ramp area but we haven't seen him in a while. Hope you're having a Fantastic Friday!

  7. I had to comment on this (I am new to your blog) - my son (12) and husband LOVE this show. My husband even watched it on Christmas NIGHT as I unsuspectedly napped on the sofa. She is brilliant at what she does - wish there were more great skin doctors like her over here in the UK.

  8. LOL- I wish they would change the name of that show so a person wouldn't feel weird telling people they watch it. lol

Great bird pictures. The pelicans come here to WI in the summer and we have many of them along the shores of Green Bay.

Have a wonderful weekend. xo Diana

  9. Wonderful photos of some gorgeous birds, Terri! And no, I haven't seen that show, but Virginia loves "The Incredible Dr. Pol," which can get pretty "hairy" since he is a practicing vet.
    Blessings!

  10. That was so generous of you to help your neighbor with the newsletter! Because she enjoys having something to do, do you suppose she'd enjoy blogging?
Lake Morton's residents are great foto subjects! All those years, I never realized it existed. We enjoy most medical dramas, but haven't paused to watch PP; uh, I just don't know ...
