We are at the farm (Joe's client) today instead of last Wednesday. The client is having cataract surgery and had to go for some pre-op stuff on Wednesday. So the farm photos will have to wait for my weekend recap on Monday. That said, I really have little or nothing from this week to share!
I started blogging in 2007 on the Yahoo 360 platform.
When it went bust, many of my connections there moved to
Multiply. I LOVED Multiply and then it went away so
I moved to Blogger. Some moved to Word Press and a few other
blogging platforms. Anyway, on both Y360 and Multiply, we
had Avatars. This is one I found from Y360 (I think).
Do any of you have an old Avatar saved?
Another beautiful Florida sky, taken outside our Clubhouse.
Last night we had a soup and sandwich fundraiser at the Clubhouse benefitting the HOA. Joe and I both had the chicken noodle soup but the other choice was beef vegetable. The two sandwich choices were ham salad or grilled cheese. I had the ham salad and Joe had the cheese. We also each got a bag of chips and two little brownies. Not bad for $5.00!! It was good and we sat at a table with our neighbors, Bob and Sharon, and two other couples. Best of all... I didn't have to cook! We also both got our hair cut
Off to the farm today. I also need to get the laundry done.

Happy Friday, Terri! Enjoy your beautiful weather and be thankful you aren't bracing for the snow as much of the country is. One thing Tim's sisters and I all talked about as we were freezing at the cemetery last Saturday was "what were we all thinking when we left Florida to move back to PA????"

I liked Multiply best I think and hated when we had to leave and find another outlet to blog from because I lost some friends. Hope you have a good Friday and upcoming weekend.

Terri, I may just move down there to your community. It sounds fabulous. I was trying to remember how I got into blogging. I think I was in a homemaking forum and then gradually most moved to blogs. It is interesting how the internet world changes. Now it seems many are going VLOGS.

ReplyDeleteYes, the skies are beautiful today, as is the weather here. It has warmed up nicely after a cool start. We took a walk in the woods, and I LOVED it. Love your "avatar". I did not start blogging until 2009, here on blogger, so no, I never had one of those. I'm glad you came to blogger, as I probably never would have found you otherwise!! I'm not crazy about WordPress. My hubby uses it, but it is harder to use than blogger and I prefer easy peasey. He gets more viewers, but doesn't get comments and doesn't have the friendliness of our group. Hope you had a lovely day at the farm. See you later alligator! After while, crocodile!

ReplyDeleteYep.... those blue Florida skies. I started blogging in 2009 with my best friends. One a techie.. Politics for me, but thinking about broadening the scope as politics aren't much fun these days.. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I've never done an avatar! I think it's still around, but not so popular. Your beautiful sky is certainly nicer than the gray-on-gray we've been experiencing. Tom's really struggling, but I love staying indoors with a warm fuzzy blanket (or two).
