Joe and I are off to the farm this morning. His clients have been on vacation, so our farm days were changed a bit last week and this. It is COLD here in central Florida this week so I am bundled up in a sweatshirt and jacket today! I know many of you reading this are snowed in and freezing. I am so glad I'm not there with you!! (Sorry!) This is bad enough when we are used to heat!
I do have some photos to share!! I started my day with my every-four-weeks facial. It is always great to catch up with Dawn. Her daughter is due to deliver a little boy anytime in the next two weeks. Her granddaughter is excited to be a big sister! We had lots to talk about!
From there, I went to the Museum to pick up my former coworker, Diana. She heads up membership and marketing and is a wife and mom of two adorable boys. She is smart. She is very smart.
We had lunch at Black & Brew, which is a great coffee shop in our
downtown Lakeland.
There we are. Did I mention that she is TINY?!!
Not only is my head twice as big as hers, but I'm sure my body equals
three of her!

She had chili and avocado toast. I had Italian wedding soup and bread...
oh, and a caramel frappe (yum!).
After dropping her off back at the Museum, I went to Publix for a few things, including chicken wings for our supper at home. Joe was patiently waiting for me to get home. He was watching basketball and hardly missed me at all! Villanova is in the semi-finals so he is watching all the games.
I passed this laundry on my way home and had to snap a picture of the sign.
Southside's sign is changed every week and is always fun.
Made me giggle! I do know people with chihuahuas and think this is true.

I am so glad you had a lovely lunch with your friend from work. She is really cute! The food sounds good too! Love the sign...they could probably add a few other dog breeds to that as well...I think all dogs go crazy for doorbells...what do your kitties do? Yawn, hide under the bed? LOL. It is really chilly here this morning...about 33! So yes, you'd better bundle up to go to the farm. I'm sure it's a little warmer where you are, but still cold enough to bundle, especially for us thin-blooded Floridians, huh? I will check out website mentioned, even if I don't sew, I appreciate those who do. ( I CAN sew, I just DON'T!) LOL. Have a blessed day my friend. Enjoy the farm!

Well, now you are here! I don't know what was up earlier. That wedding soup looks yummy and since I'm home sick for the day I think I'll look for a can in the pantry for my lunch. Sounds perfect. The sign is true for those with toy poodles, too!

ReplyDeleteThe farm is really a ranch that belongs to one of my husband's clients. I go with him and enjoy the animals and scenery while he works with the client in the office. Blessed that they are also friends and are okay with me being there with him. I will keep my eyes open for a crochet group. Rebecca Jo at Knit By God's Hand knits but she doesn't seem to crochet. ReplyDeleteI wish our cold just needed a sweatshirt and jacket last week. I think I had 4 layers, plus coat hat scarf and gloves. But this week has been much better. Sounds like a good lunch and that sign is soo true!
