A big thanks to Joyce for
this week's Hodgepodge! I missed it last week - missed participating and
missed everyone who did participate. There will be no HP next week and
for good reason! Can't wait to see photos and hear all about Daughter1's
visit!! Congratulations on Hodgepodge #300!!

Questions-Volume 300
1. What is one area of
your life where you're a perfectionist? Oh gosh, I'm really not a perfectionist. I have to be precise in my
accounting work, but I am not a perfectionist in any area of my life. Is that a
good thing? Probably not a good thing. I strive for perfection, but I don't
think I ever get there. I lose interest too quickly and am ready to move on too
soon (with respect to crafts, languages, instruments.....).
2. What's something you
find perfectly ridiculous? Liberals.
Especially the ones who feel entitled these days....
3. What's a skill you've
developed by way of that old fashioned saying, 'practice makes perfect? Check #1 again. I am not a perfectionist and I
lose interest in things long before I perfect an art....
4. What's your idea of a
perfect breakfast? One that someone else
makes for me!! LOL
5. What's a trip,
holiday, vacation, or day outing you've taken that you'd rate a perfect 10? Our trip to Italy came close. It wasn't perfect,
but I would give it an 8. Tell us why. It was Italy!!
6. What quote or saying
perfectly sums up your life right now? If you can't do perfect, how about one
that comes close?
7. How would you spend
$300 today? I would start buying
curtains! None of our windows have curtains! There are blinds, but I really
need to be getting some curtains/drapes and we also need two area rugs.
8. Insert your own
random thought here. I
am still flirting with Blogger these days. Trying to check in a few times a
week and I am breezing through posts as I can, sometimes commenting and sometimes
not. We are "getting there" but still have so much to do. I wish I
could take about two weeks off and get the new house finished!
I do feel the love and
appreciate the prayers!! Thanks for stopping by!! Peace & hugs for all!!

{{{Giggling over number 2}}}---amen sista, lol. No worries about visting etc, Terri...you worry about getting settled in, smiles.
ReplyDeleteItaly would be my dream trip someday! And I hear ya on the curtains! They're expensive! When we first moved to our colonial, we had to get blinds/curtains for all our windows and we have 20, pricey to say the least! Hope your move is going well!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see you back doing the Hodge Podge. Eventually you will get caught up with everything. In my opinion perfection is overrated. We all have our imperfections. That's why we're not God.
ReplyDeleteWe know you are there, whether you comment or not, so no worries...just get your house in order so you can relax and enjoy it. It wont be much longer. OCD is my big problem...:(
ReplyDeleteI am with you Terri on that Breakfast!!:) We are heading to our little house this weekend andI am still "tweaking" things there. It will take a while to get everything just right as I am sure you understand with moving to a new home.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are making progress if you are thinking about the decor details. I can't wait to get to that point!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are making progress. How are your fur babies doing with the move?
ReplyDeleteThe fur babies are doing GREAT! We are amazed, actually.
DeleteMoving into a new place can take lots of time and patience...been there, done that! I'm sure it will all come together, eventually. Yes, I agree with what you wrote for your answer to #2.
ReplyDeleteSo agree with #2....and that answer to #4 is spot on! 😁
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your Hodgepodge answers today. Yes, do keep going. You are making progress. I like the graphic you shared with that advice.
ReplyDeleteI like your answers and couldn't agree more on number 2. Hang in there. I like the appearance of your blog. Maybe someday I will make a change. I do enjoy eating out and having someone else cook breakfast for me, but I am pretty particular about my omelettes. My hope is that the cook is a perfectionist in that skill. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThe perfectionism and liberals....I think we are very much alike in our thinking!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see some pictures of your new home when you have it all put together.
Good to see you here Terri. I'm sure you still have loads to do but you will get there. Another blogger had slow and steady wins the race as a quote and that's not a bad thing to follow.
ReplyDeleteI'm four months in and still have a lengthy to-do list happening. It will all get done eventually : ) I have my mom here now, then my daughter so not much will be checked off in these next two weeks other than enjoying company.
ReplyDeleteI am totally with you on #2! I also enjoy breakfast more when someone else does the cooking. All the special decorating touches take time (and money). It's the love that makes a house a home. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on #2!
ReplyDeleteAnd also a breakfast someone else makes is always good!
Love your answer to #2!
ReplyDeleteBTW, when Tom and I married in '04, our (home-made) invitations read, "Splendidly Imperfect."
I loved your idea of a perfect breakfast. LOL Isn't that true! I know you are very busy and so it's especially fun to see you here at the Hodgepodge. I hope you're able to get your curtains soon. We are so far off the road that I only have blinds on our windows and usually they're not even closed.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find rugs and drapes quicker than I. It took me about a year to decide on the area rug for the main room and another 6 months before I would put it down. I do love it, though so there's that. LOL Cannot wait to see it all put together!
