I don't have much for today, but something made me HAPPY yesterday and I decided to share it with y'all today as my one Tidbit and my Happiness Challenge post.
If you have an interest in photography, please check out the video and links below. Becky is pretty amazing as an artist and as an educator.
Rebecca Sexton Larson is a photographer who, years ago, was our Education Curator here at the Museum. She left to pursue her career as an artist/photographer and was actually the Photo Laureate for the city of Tampa. We have some of her work in the permanent collection at the Museum. She is that good!!
We also have a couple of her pieces in our (very limited) art collection at home. I count her as a friend and know her as Becky rather than Rebecca.

I also know her husband Matt, who is well-known in the Tampa news-media circles. He works for Channel 8 in Tampa. Together they own an Airstream camper that they work and teach from, known as boxfotos. She is a pinhole photography expert.
They have started a blog about their boxfoto adventures. If you would like to follow them and to perhaps pick up some photographic pointers, here is the link for the blog:

This post actually is about the National Park Passports. I know some of my connections here love camping and exploring the National Parks.
That's all I have today, except that Becky and Matt are a great couple and both are experienced and accomplished artists. Have fun exploring!
Thanks for your visit! Peace & hugs.

Thanks for the info. You lead such an interesting life! Hope you have a great Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI did check out her sites and very interesting. I love when people are doing what makes them happy. Hope your Tuesday is a good one! Hugs
ReplyDeleteTerri, I am becoming addicted to Blogs and Vlogs. Yesterday I made myself just walk away from the computer. I love visiting talented people and Becky surely is one!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting and talented lady! I was especially impressed that she makes her own cameras!
ReplyDeleteI love it when folks do what they love and the very fact their not tied down to what they HAVE or SUPPOSE or SHOULD CONFORM to do...smiles
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day, Terri.
I'll be visiting boxfotos soon! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYou gotta love a photographer named Rebecca ;) haha
ReplyDeleteI gotta check out that blog & follow along with them. I'm all about that kind of thing
I thought you might enjoy this!!
DeleteRebecca sounds fascinating! I look forward to watching this video and learning more about 'boxfotos' this evening.
ReplyDeletePS - 'Hope you know I meant 'acronym' (not anagram) in yesterday's comment. Banging head against wall over here ....
This was really interesting! Thanks for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting couple! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Interesting art work. It's nice to see someone doing something they love and get paid for it. My husband and I used to be heavily into photography when we first married. The guest bathroom in our first apartment was converted into a dark room. We photographed underwater features and also special events. It was lots of fun. Digital photography changed how it made photos easily accessible to all, so that kinda put the kibosh on any further endeavors, financially speaking. I'm still glad I chose to stay in accounting and Hubby stayed with BellSouth. Better retirement. ~:)
ReplyDeleteIndeed! Nearly every staff member here at the art museum is an artist in one medium or another....getting a steady paycheck doing something else. It's hard to make a living as an artist.
DeletePhoto laureate for a city the size of Tampa is an achievement to be proud of! And you knew her when.
