Christmas Traditions from Cindy....

A couple of my blogging friends have answered these questions that were posted by "Creations by Cindy".  I decided to pay her a visit and join in the fun for this Monday.  You can find her HERE if you want to join in, too!  Thank you, Cindy!!

With Christmas approaching quickly...we have so much to do....But for fun, let's take just a minute...chill out and be nosy! LOL! I would love to know your answers to these question.

1: Do you prefer an Artificial or a Live Christmas tree?

We always have an artificial tree because Joe is allergic to pine needles/sap.  Fine with me.

2: Do you prefer colored lights or clear lights on your tree?

I like both, but our current tree has white lights.

3:  Would you say that your Christmas dinner is traditional or different?

Pretty traditional if I am cooking.  We do turkey for Thanksgiving and ham for Christmas.

4: When do you begin Christmas shopping?

It depends, but I didn't start until November this year.

5: What is your favorite Christmas movie to watch?

There are so many, but I love "A Christmas Story" and "Christmas Vacation" and "A Wonderful Life" and any of the "A Christmas Carol" movies....I could keep going. How can you name just one?

6: Are you a Hallmark Christmas Movie fan?

They are okay, but not my favorites. The themes/plots are all pretty much the same and can be a little sappy for me.

7:  Do you travel during Christmas or stay home?

We usually stay home, but this year we are going down to Naples, FL, to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our grandchildren, their mom, and step-dad. Looking forward to it.

8: Who is the easiest person to buy for in your family?

I will say Joe, because we do gift cards now for most everyone else.  I still get him gifts.

9: Do you like to wrap your gifts or prefer gift bags if possible?

Gift bags are sure easy, but I do enjoy wrapping gifts in pretty paper and making bows for Christmas gifts.

10: What is the one stress you feel you have at Christmas?

I don't stress anymore about Christmas or much of anything. Getting stressed out fixes nothing and just makes you sick. I work real hard at letting things go.  I fail occasionally, however, so don't think I never get stressed because I do.

Bonus Question: What is one your favorite Christmas memories with your children?

My boys were 16 and 20 when I joined the family so I guess my favorite memory with them is my first Christmas as a D'Orsaneo.

  3. If I use a gift bag I still usually wrap the gift. Just feels strange to put an unwrapped gift in a bag for a gift. I know I'm weird lol
    Have a great day!

  4. What a delightful post! I may connect to this meme sometime during the Christmas season.

Love the picture of you with Joe and the boys. The Lord has really blessed you.

As for giving gift cards, I'm there with you on that one. Among other considerations, the cost of mailing packages is outrageous. Hugs to you!

  5. I like trivia, and am betting A Wonderful Life is probably the most loved Christmas movie. I think I've got most of my shopping done but not the making of goodies yet. Hope you're having a good day.

  6. 'It's A Wonderful Life' is it for me and have already watched it once this year. I wrap all presents except the very very large, and it would go in a bag. We dont have to ship any gifts so that is nice for us too. Jim and I dont give each other gifts any more. We decided we pretty much have what we want or need already, plus finances are tight now days. We concentrate what we do have on the grands. Hope you have a good week ahead, and happy Monday!

  7. That photo is awesome. Letting go of stress...wish I could. My biggest stress factor is dealing with family. There's a conflict going on now. :( Mercy...it shouldn't be this way!

    1. Wouldn't you like to just shake people sometimes? Life is too short for family arguments, but I think all families experience it once in awhile and unfortunately there are those that just want to hold a grudge and won't let go. Sad. Hope your worry works itself out. Hugs.
