Prayer Request Friday....

Prayer Request Friday....

I ask you all to join me on Fridays with prayer requests and prayers.  I want to do this every Friday, but please know that prayers will be offered for all intentions every day of the week.  This will just be a place to congregate and share our needs and our good news.

I believe in the power of prayer and many of you have also expressed the same.  Your prayer requests are welcome in the comments below.  I hope everyone will join me in praying for each other and the requests expressed here.  Please also share the good news of prayers answered!

Eternal Father,

Through the resurrection of Jesus
the good news of Your love has touched the world.
By our baptism, we are reborn as your Children of Light.
Through the work of Your Spirit
the glory of Your new creation continues to unfold.

Watch over Your family of faith
here in this blog post and hear our prayers.
Inspire us by the prompting of Your Spirit:
that we may dream new dreams
and find wisdom in visions.
Give us a courageous heart,
a bold voice and openness of mind,
and above all else, ears that listen.

Help us, as Your family, to discover Your way:
story telling and dialogue which leads to understanding;
ideas which challenge growth;
a journey which will bring hope.

We offer you this prayer
for You are our life, our strength and guide,
Our loving God, for ever and ever.

Lord, hear our prayers.  Amen.

My requests:
Please continue to pray for my brother-in-law, Bruce and my sister, Tammy.  They continue to be blessed with prayers being answered.  I also ask for continued prayers for my dear friend Karen and her husband Lee. Karen is fighting the big C and also had a bad fall a few days ago that put her in the ICU.  Thank you!

  1. Please pray for our neighbor. He's 75 and fell off his roof about 2 months ago while cleaning gutters. Vertebrae were fractured in his back and he's healing, but now is well the hospital undergoing tests because he's unable to swallow at all....possible nerve damage from the fall. Very sad. Thanks, precious Lady for allowing your friends to voice their prayer concerns.

  3. I just had a text message from my sister, Patti, telling me her father-in-law has been taken to the hospital with stage 5 kidney failure. He only has one kidney, so the news is not good at all. Please pray for Tom McDermott that his journey will be peaceful. He will join his wife in Heaven soon. Thanks.

  6. Asking for continued prayers for my friend, Diane, who's still suffering from painful back issues. Praying she will be able to find relief. Praying for her personal issues, as well.
    Sending prayers of thanksgiving, to God, because my own back issues seem to be getting better. Wednesday was a pain free day, praise the Lord!
    Asking for prayers on behalf of my husband, Ed, who has a couple of health issues of his own, at this time.
    Also, asking prayers on behalf of all who are mentioned in these comments.

  10. Hope Karen will recover from her fall. That being in ICU doesn't sound good.

  11. I finally caught up on a whole bunch of your posts, Terri. How wonderful for you to provide this place for prayer requests. I actually have a praise. Dick had a follow-up PET scan this week and the report online looks like they didn't see anything to be alarmed about. He'll have a visit soon with the oncologist, but we fully expect that he will be good to go for another six months.
