Monday's Weekend Rundown....

I hope everyone had a good weekend, and that Father's Day celebrations went well for those who celebrated.

Joe initially said he wanted to go to Tarpon Springs for Father's Day, so we did our housework and laundry on Saturday, to have Sunday free.  Sunday morning, he decided he really didn't want to spend a couple of hours in the car (it's an hour+ to get there, and of course that much coming back).  So, we went out to breakfast instead, and then to a movie.

We saw "Spy" and laughed all the way through it.  Melissa McCarthy is SO funny.  We both enjoyed the movie.

After we got back we thought we might get in the pool for awhile, but it started to thunder.  We never got rain, but it sounded nasty so we stayed inside.  It is to be a rainy week, according to the weather report.

I did not hear from my friend Fran yesterday, so hoping no news is good news.  I know she is in good hands and is being cared for.  Please keep her on your prayer lists for healing!  Thanks.  While I am asking for prayers, please keep my friend KS in your prayers too.  She starts radiation and chemo treatments tomorrow (Tuesday) which will lead to surgery for esophageal cancer.  So much evil, horrid cancer in the world.  I hurt so much for my loved ones who are suffering.  The power of prayer is an awesome thing, though!

On a brighter note, I asked my sister how they would be celebrating Father's Day with Bruce and she told me that his son, David, was going to take Bruce fishing!  I can't wait to get a report on how it went and the fun I'm sure they had!

Thanks for stopping by!  Wishing you a good week ahead!  Peace & hugs.

  2. Sounds like y'all had a nice day. I called my Dad (they live in Ocala)around 6:30 and I could hear the thunder and lightening-he said it was going to get bad, but they needed the rain. He said he was tired of the 100* temps, they spent most of the day with my brothers kids and in the pool .

Hope you have a nice Monday, Terri. Blessings

  3. I liked reading that Bruce and David went fishing...can't wait to read about it when you hear the news.

Staying home on a thunderous day sounds like a winner. We went and saw Jurassic World as you now know. The movie you saw probably was much better.

    Have a glorious week.

  12. So glad you had a good day with hubby. Mr D and I love to go out for breakfast, we do it often. We've had so much rain here in Texas...we've had more than our share this year. It was just a few years ago we were starving for water, lakes and rivers were drying up and the state lost many trees...Seems we go from one extreme to another!
