Throwback Thursday....

I've been mentioning that my BFF, Elaine, and her husband Jim will be visiting this weekend and all of next week!  We have been looking forward to it and Friday will be here soon!

Because of all the snowy weather "up north" and me always saying I don't ever want to see it in person again, I thought I would post a throwback photo of Elaine and a snowman we built 'way back when'!  The house in the background is where she lived (and her mom still lives there)  The vacant lot, where we built the snowman, was the neighborhood ball field in the summer.  A few months after this picture, my grandparents bought the vacant lot and built a house there.  I lived just across the street.

So I DO know what snow is, and am very happy to not be seeing it ever again in person!!

Bruce is in the new facility/hospital.  He was transferred yesterday.  AND, Tammy is going to be allowed to stay in his room with him!!  Excellent news.  He even got dressed for the move, and is now getting out of bed, with assistance, but without sliding from the bed, into the chair. He is doing better already!  Prayers are still appreciated! They are being heard!

Thanks for checking in!  Peace & hugs!

  1. You say: "Because of all the snowy weather "up north" and me always saying I don't ever want to see it in person again,"......I hear ya!! After being raised in the foothills of Colorado where the snow was on the ground 6-8 months out of the year....NO MORE SNOW for me either.

I bet Friday isn't coming fast enough.

  2. I loved the snow when I was little, but some places get way too much. We think about the problems it causes us without realizing how difficult the snow is on animals as they can't get to the food they usually eat.

That's great that Tammy is able to stay with Bruce. It surely must help in the healing process. Have a good Thursday.

  3. I would be fine without anymore snow. It's not my fave.

That's such great news on Bruce.
    Have a great day!

  5. Cute snowman and I don't think it would bother me never to see snow in person again either. :)

Glad your brother-in-law is doing so well.

  6. There are days...like today where I wish I never had to see snow again. I wouldn't mind at all.

    Good news for Bruce!
