Friday the 13th....

I'm not superstitious about Friday, the 13th.  It's never been a problem for me.  How about you?

I took the day off, today.  So much to do and no time to do it. I need to get laundry done early and plan a couple of menus for company....which probably means a trip to the grocery.  Elaine and Jim will arrive around 4:30ish.  They spent the night south of Atlanta, which puts them about seven hours away from Lakeland.

Joe decided to hire a cleaning service this week!!  I've not cleaned for a couple of weekends, and haven't had time to get to it in the evenings.  Trouble is, he fired one company - the one that was coming yesterday.  So he found another company to come, but they won't be here until early afternoon.  I sure hope they can do what they need to do in about three hours.  I have a vision of them backing out of the driveway and Jim and Elaine pulling in!  Whew!  Talk about cutting it close!!!

We used to have a cleaning service, but stopped it about three years ago. Boy have I missed it!!  Thankful that Joe has decided it might be worth having again.  We'll give it a try, and have them come every two weeks.  I hope it works out.

Our veterinarian came last night and gave Lucy her annual shots, plus a steroid and an antibiotic.  Lilly got her annual shots, too. They both got their nails trimmed.  Glad that's done. Hoping Lucy starts feeling better tomorrow!

I will do my best to keep up with your blogs, and I'll post when I can.  I will be enjoying catching up with Elaine, though, and we will be hitting the road.  Just know we are having fun!

Enjoy your Friday!!  Thanks for stopping by!  Peace, love & hugs.

  5. Working full time, I think a cleaning service is a necessity. I vote for it!

Trudy got her shots and grooming yesterday. Whew! Expensive.

Friday the 13th does not bother me. It's just another day. Have a great weekend and Happy Valentine's Day.

  11. Phew - - you are busy -- - as we, too, have been. Glad for you on the cleaning service. In our area, there are quite a few "independent" women who have regular homes they do. The ones I know (from the church library) who are Christian women have done very well for themselves - - set their own hours and chose the persons they enjoy working for. A win--win situation. Sounds like you have fun to look forward to. Enjoy!
