- we went to the movies and saw "Obama's America 2016"; I won't say anything political, though you all know I am a conservative, but I will encourage everyone to see this factual documentary
- we went to Walmart for a few things
- we went to Sam's Club for a few more things
- we went to the Sprint Store for a new battery for my phone - they didn't have one
- we went to another Sprint Store for a new battery - they GAVE it to me! Yay!
- we were starving at 4:00 and went to Miller's Ale House for some 'lupper' (late lunch, early supper)
- we went to CVS for a few more things
- we went to Publix for even more things
- we stopped for a lottery ticket
- we brought everything home
After the groceries and 'things' were put away, I made some ice cream in our new Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker!! My friend, Linda, talked about home made ice cream a few weeks ago, so I started looking on Amazon for a 'good deal' and found one a week or so ago. We will enjoy some later this evening, and I'm so looking forward to it! Linda - it's all your fault! LOL
Tomorrow, I will do laundry (as always) and some cleaning, since nothing got done today other than running. We are bracing for Hurricane Isaac to arrive late Sunday - early Monday. Thankfully, the models still have him going west of us, with only the 40 MPH winds on the outer bands hitting us. The panhandle and up into Alabama and Georgia will get the worst of it, so it appears right now. Isaac is still just a category one, so that's good.
Wishing you all a good Sunday! Peace, love & hugs.

Wow, what a busy day.
ReplyDeleteFirst, let me say, you will LOVE that ice cream! I could eat the whole thing....but dont...promise...lol
ReplyDeleteI think if I did that much running around I would collapse at maybe the 2nd or 3rd stop! Whew...girl you are a whiz. Keep us posted if and when the heavy rains and winds begin, because we will be about a day or so later getting it. Be safe, and I know you will.
Speaking of the Cuisinart, now I want a Kindle Fire and have considered buying a used one through Amazon, but think I will wait and save the money and get a new one...I am the gadget queen! lol Rest well, and have a good Sunday.
You sure did have a busy day! I simply cleaned my apartment....that's it....
ReplyDeletePS....Arlene caught the triathalon bug...she vowed to me that she would only do one and now she is planning on another.
Trying to post again under LiveJournal. I'll probably close that one down since I'm using Yuku.
ReplyDeleteThat was indeed a busy Sat!! Woo hoo for the store giving you the phone battery. Hope the ice cream was good
ReplyDeleteWow..you were all over the place yesterday! Looks like you got a lot accomplished! Keeping you in my prayers that you will be safe from Isaac:-)
ReplyDeleteOoo I love homemade ice cream. I have a maker but never got it out this year. I thought about it a few times but you need to freeze the core so I have to plan ahead to make it.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a productive day. Glad to hear the storm should miss you. Stay safe
Busy day for you. It's cloudy here, some breeze. Hoping the winds won't get too high. The yard is cleared out of flying objects. Enjoy your Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy day you have had. For some reason, I am hungry for ice cream...I wonder why? Hope the storm stays wll out to sea and you get no real bad winds etc.
