Heather and Terry (the other Terry) couldn't join us, so it was just Cindee, Melody and me at Shirley's house. Mel's birthday was last week, but that didn't keep us from enjoying a wonderful lunch of homemade lasagna, a yummy salad, cheese and fruit, and homemade cake and ice cream! Oh - almost forgot - wine!
We spent about three hours talking, laughing and catching up on kids and grandkids. It was a great afternoon.
Joe and I are going to the opening exhibit at Gallery 2125, which is here in town. Mike and Mary Ellen reminded us of it last night, so we thought we would pop in for awhile, and then go to dinner. We'll be leaving in a few minutes, actually.
Nothing special planned for the weekend, except the usual - cleaning and laundry. Who knows where we might find ourselves! Wishing you a good weekend! I'll leave you with pictures from the birthday fun! Peace, love & hugs!
This last picture is really for my friend, Linda. Shirley's colorful stemware made me think of yours! Her's is from Germany, dating back to World War II. Her father had them sent to the USA from Germany.
You are right, the stemware looks very much like ours...small world. Looks like you all had a yummy good time! Enjoy the new museum and dinner.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice time. Stay safe when the storm comes through.
ReplyDeleteYou stay safe, too, Lyn. You're closer to it than we are. If it gets too bad over there, we have a nice guest room, and you are welcome to evacuate to Lakeland. Seriously.
DeleteLooks like a great time. Nice photos, friends , smiles, food and lovely glasses
ReplyDeleteMmmm everything looks yummy. Glad you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
A great way to spend a Friday and good eats too!! Enjoy your weekend!!
ReplyDeleteYour weekend got off to a great start, so if housework calls, at least you had fun first!

DeleteGood company, good food and good wine make a superb combination. Glad you enjoyed yourselves. I'll bet cute little Babe was excited. I can't wait to see my sister's animals and human family too. Have a good weekend.
What a lovely birthday lunch you and your friends had for Melody! I can't get over how much the stemware looks like the ones that Linda has! How was the art exhibit? Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
