Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 428
1. Four words that tell us something about your July? Bittersweet. Humid. Hard. Easier.
2. Four of your favorite summer foods? Watermelon. Sweetcorn. Blueberries. Is Iced Tea a food?
3. What were you doing at a quarter past four yesterday? I was bringing Lucy home from her vet appointment. She has a skin infection. Yuck!
4. fore! four-letter word, four sheets to the wind, ten-four, 24/7, four eyes, these four walls....pick a 'four' phrase and tell us how you relate currently. These four walls bring me so much comfort. I am so blessed to have a comfortable home with AC and a good roof. Joe left me with the comfort of these four walls and I am blessed and thankful.
5. Something you own that is four years old? The tires on my car are four years old and one is losing air (slowly). The head maintenance man at my work checked it for a leak and didn't find one. He filled it with air for me and told me my tires have a lot of knicks in them. They don't have 40,000 (33,000) miles on them yet but they are old and this is hot Florida. SO... he found some good tires on sale at Walmart that are guaranteed for 50,000 miles. The same brand he has on his car. They get installed tomorrow afternoon. I'll have good tires for my upcoming trips!
6. Insert your own random thought here. It's not random (rarely is) but I am so excited to be driving up to Ocala this weekend to spend time with Barb (Sweet Tea & Sandals). She has some fun things planned and one is meeting up with Pamela (Closed Doors, Open Windows) at a sweet little restaurant in Micanopy. My former boss from the museum lives in Micanopy and is joining us for lunch. It will be so fun seeing her, too! Yes, there will be pictures and most likely on three blogs (not just mine!). And I will look forward to my next trip on Saturday, August 7th when I meet up with the grandchildren for lunch at our favorite Fisherman's Wharf in Punta Gorda. A couple of weeks after that, I'm going to Brunswick to see Darlene and the photography exhibit being done on the animals at her sanctuary. Good get-aways coming up!

You have some fun stuff coming up. I can't wait to see the animal pics.
ReplyDeleteThat's nice that you had a person at work that could look at your car for you.
Have a great day!
glad you got the new tires since you will be traveling so much. I have to tell you I am jealous! Not having a car and being banned from driving doesnt take me many places...lol Have a good Hump Day dear friend.

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your upcoming outings starting with the one with Barb! Glad that you are getting new tires for you car.
ReplyDeleteGod bless that maintenance man! Ever since I experienced a blow-out on a Florida interstate, I've been a bit paranoid about my car's tires. So happy you've more adventures planned! Maybe that will make the miserable hot and humid month of August go by a little faster.
ReplyDeleteYou do have some fun times ahead of you, Terri. Enjoy, and be sure to share lots of photos!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
So glad you are getting new tires and I pray you will be safe on your upcoming trips. Have fun and I'm looking forward to checking out the pictures
ReplyDeleteOh, no, poor Lucy! A former Mini Schnauzer I had, Maxie, would get skin & ear infections all the time.
ReplyDeleteThree cheers for the fellow at work that helped with the tires! May God bless him for this kindness.

Oh, so glad your tires will be fresh and new when you drive up this weekend! I am so looking forward to seeing you all. I am happy that since my "event" yesterday, I seem to be feeling better and I am ready for some "fun". So sorry Lucy has a skin infection. Praying it clears up soon. Just take care and take your time driving. I can't believe the weekend will be here before we know it!
ReplyDeleteDidn't think about blueberries but we picked some at a local farm and ate them within a week - they were so good!
