I took a sweet picture of our Lucy (Diva) Kitty yesterday morning. She sleeps on this pillow in our bed most nights. I was ready for work and about to walk out to the kitchen when I noticed her position. Had to snap a photo of her and the flash didn't even bother her (or Joe!). She was OUT!
I can't post a picture of Lucy and not share my other babies with you, so here is our bad boy Vinny...
And here is our Lilly. She was a feral, off the streets kitten, who already had her ear clipped so she could go back on the streets. I'm glad she came to live with us instead! She is still a little wild but settles a little more each year. She and Lucy tolerate each other, but she and Vinny are still fighting for top cat.
So my Tuesday Tidbits are all about our furbabies. Thanks for your visit! Peace & hugs.

I'm quite ignorant about what it means that her ear was clipped. Why is that done? Your furbabies are all beautiful, especially Lucy! Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteHere in our county when feral cats are captured and spayed or neutered, they clip the tip of an ear and put them back in the feral colony. The clipped ear tells animal control (or citizens) that they don't have to capture that one again. A woman who was caring for a feral colony in her neighborhood captured kittens when they were old enough and took them to have them 'fixed' at her own expense. She fell for Lilly and didn't want to put her back on the streets. A friend of hers is a friend of mine and got us together. We took her in.
DeleteLily reminds me of a cat I once knew named Snoopy. I love those beautiful gray kitties.
ReplyDeleteAwww they are all so cute. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
That is one comfortable cat. *lol* I've never heard of the ear clipping before. That's pretty clever. Thanks for sharing. Hope your day is blessed. ~:)
ReplyDeleteOHHH - so is that something they do everywhere? Clip the ear?... my mom just rescued a cat & they were fixed before she got them & they cut their ears & I was so confused about it. Makes sense though
ReplyDeleteThey do it here for feral cats. I can imagine that it is something that is done most everywhere because it makes sense. When we had Vinny and Lucy fixed, they didn't clip their ears because they weren't from a feral colony. It is just to reduce numbers in feral colonies.
DeleteYour kitties look sweet. I'm sure their personalities and antics keep smiles on your faces!
ReplyDeleteI found the clipped ear to be very interesting. I had not heard of that before. All your furbabies are pretty/handsome. Lucy Kitty looks so comfortable, bet she's having sweet dreams of tuna fish!! Hope you're having a great day!!
ReplyDeleteAll your babies are beautiful... LJ
ReplyDeleteTerri, such gorgeous kitties. I love kittens and cats but my husband does not so thus I have never had one. I have warned him though that if I find an abandoned one, I am going to keep it. So far, nada.
ReplyDeleteThat's so interesting about clipping one's ears. (An advantage of arriving at the party late?)
ReplyDeleteLucy's position just cracks me up. Our Macie Ann does something similar ... no shame. LOL!
I love seeing your furbabies. I never knew about the clipped ear. Glad you got him instead.
ReplyDeleteWe have Oliver with us for a few weeks while Heather and Andrew are moving. It's nice to have him around again.
