Saturday: 9. Do you know what time it is?

Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?

Thanks to Samantha Winters for another fun Saturday:9!!  Visit her blog HERE and join in the fun!

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Saturday 9: Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? (1970)

Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.

1) This song asks, "Does anybody really care about time?" How about you? Do you pride yourself on being punctual? Or don't you really care?  I am always punctual (usually early), and people who are habitually late drive me crazy.  Pet peeve!

2) The lyrics refer to a stranger asking the time. When is the last time you conversed with someone you didn't really know? What did you two talk about?  I talk to strangers often at work and we usually talk about the art and whether they are enjoying their visit to the museum.

3) According to the Top 40 tracker Tunecaster, this song knocked Tony Orlando and Dawn's "Knock Three Times" out of the #1 spot on the charts in January 1971. Are you familiar with "Knock Three Times?"  Indeed I am. I think I know most of the lyrics.  It's a sing-along for me!  I graduated from high school in 1970....these are the songs that bring back fun memories!!

4) Chicago is not only the name of the group but also of the midwest's largest city. Chicago is the proud hometown of such luminaries as Bill Murray, Michelle Obama and Derrick Rose. Does your town have any favorite sons or daughters? Actresses Lindsey Alley and Karen Olivo, as are Nascar star
Joe Nemechek and football bad boy Ray Lewis  - they are all from Lakeland!  We can also claim Frances Langford

5) The group Chicago was originally known as The Chicago Transit Authority, after the city's public transportation system. When is the last time you were on a bus or a train?  The last time I rode a bus was in 2007, in Italy.  The last time I was on a train was probably when I was living in the Washington DC area and rode the train when the weather was bad.

6) Four of the original seven bandmembers are still with the group … after 48 years! What's the longest you stayed at the same job?  I have been at the museum 18 years (last month).

7) Lead singer Rob Lamm confessed that, at times, being in a band has been hard for him because he is by nature a loner. How about you? Are you more introverted or extroverted?  I am more introverted, but the older I have gotten, the "bolder" I have become.

8) This summer, Chicago will be touring with Earth, Wind and Fire. Have you seen/will you attend any concerts in 2015?  I do not enjoy concerts.  There are way too many people, making too much noise.

 9) Random question: What's the last mess you cleaned up?  Not a day goes by that I don't have a cat hairball to clean up, and I clean three litter boxes every day.

Heard tonight that grandson Tristan has decided to attend SMU, in Dallas.  He got a nice scholarship, though not a full ride. Happy that the decision has been made!!  Just a little surprised, since he was also accepted to Cornell, Miami and Rollins. I've been praying he would decide on the one that will bring him the most happiness, so have to trust that SMU is it!!

Thanks for stopping in today!  Hoping for a lazy day and definitely sleeping in!! Peace & love!
