It's Thursday Already!!
Gotta love a short week, but next week will seem like two weeks, I'm sure.
I spoke with Joe earlier, and he is feeling a bit better, thank goodness. He had a fever and was miserable last night. This cold has really kicked his butt. I am still doing my best to avoid getting it. Fingers crossed!
It's a slow, catch-up kind of day today, at work. I'm getting things done, which feels good. We have rain today, but it is 75 degrees. The fog was really thick this morning, and I had to use the wipers a few times on my way to work, just for the moisture from the fog.
We (at the Museum) had one of those 'pat-ourselves-on-the-back' moments today!! Our next two exhibits made national news!! Very exciting! Here is the link, in case you would like to see the article:
An acquaintance, Veronica, contacted me today. She is a good friend to my friend, Heather, and I really have Heather to blame for the acquaintance (winking). Veronica is the woman in the next town over, who takes care of a feral cat community, and she is the one who rescued our Lilly and talked us into taking her. NOW, she has a 5-year old male cat, residing in a rescue facility because his owner died. He is declawed (which we don't do to ours), micro-chipped, neutered, and in good health, but very sad to be in a cage, all alone. She saw him and decided he needs to live with us. We have had five cats at a time before, but it does get expensive to keep them and make sure they have proper medical attention. If it were up to me, I would be one of those crazy cat ladies with 26 cats (and probably a few dogs, too). I sent Joe Veronica's e-mail request. I know he will be the voice of reason, but I would be driving over there tonight, if it was left up to me! LOL It takes a lot of time and work to keep a clean house and to enjoy people telling us they can't smell the litter box. I work daily to keep the house smelling clean and looking clean (though there is always cat hair somewhere). I just love cats and they are much easier to keep than dogs (though I love dogs, too).
I need to get back to work! Not much else to say today, anyway! Thanks for reading my blog!! Peace, love & hugs.
