Monday's Weekend Recap...

There isn't much to recap but...

On Thursday, I had a late lunch with my friend, Kalisa.  We met at Tapatio's when I got off work.  It was fun catching up with her and hearing about mutual friends who she sees more often than I do.

We scheduled another lunch for Sunday, after church, with our friend from the Museum (where we both worked), Gregory.  We call ourselves Gregory's Lakeland moms.  His folks live in North Carolina and we have met them numerous times over the years.  His dad is a retired Methodist minister.  Because of the terrible storms and tornado watch for our area on Sunday morning, we canceled getting together and switched it to dinner on Tuesday evening when Gregory gets off work.

Friday after work was just relaxed. No appointments and no plans.  On Saturday, I got up and started cleaning.  I don't know how two cats can shed so much fur but I had to dump the canister on my stick vacuum twice because of cat hair. Granted it had been two weeks since I really got to it but oh my gosh.

This was the sky Saturday evening.  Not a hint of the mess headed our way.

We had bad storms and tornado watches early Sunday.  Thankfully, we were okay here in my neighborhood.  Sunday school and church were good and since I didn't have lunch plans I got the laundry started.  I also baked some Ghirardelli brownies to share with my neighbors. They are so good to me that I wanted to treat them in return. I admit to a taste. Still keeping track of carbs but stuck at that 12 lbs for over a week. Sigh.

That's all I've got.  Not very exciting and I am sorry for the folks north of us who lost power (Linda and Pamela!). Hoping there were no tornadoes touching down here in Central Florida.

Peace & hugs!!
Have a blessed May ahead!!

Here is a prayer that was in our church bulletin a week ago.
I've added it to my morning devotions.
