Wednesday Hodgepodge Time...

Thanks to Joyce for today's Hodgepodge!  You can join in right HERE!

Hodgepodge Questions-Volume 443

From this Side of the Pond

1. When it comes to gift-giving are you more of a 'create something from scratch' or a 'buy something in a shop' kind of giver? Tell about a favorite homemade gift you've given or one you've received.  I don't usually make things to give unless it is baked goods. BUT - I also don't do much shopping anymore. I tend to give money or gift cards now.  No little ones to buy for but my favorite homemade gift that I received was an apron that Lauren (granddaughter) painted for me years ago.  I keep it tucked away with the Christmas decorations.

2. Do you have the 'gift of gab'? Is that a blessing or a curse? I don't really have a gift of gab but can hold my own, I guess.  I tend to be more of a listener.  Blessing or curse... neither. It is just me.

3. What's something you have going on that you need/want to 'wrap up' this month?  I still have Joe's desk to transition to my craft area but it really doesn't have to happen this month - or next for that matter. It and the shed (all those tools) are the last areas with his things that I need to deal with.

4. A food you love that is 'wrapped' in some way?  The delicious egg rolls at Gosh Asian Bistro.  They are delicious and like no other egg rolls I've ever had!

5. December is upon us...share something here (quote, verse, poem, song lyric, your own thoughts) related to the word hope.  One of my favorites...

6. Insert your own random thought here.  There has been a covid outbreak at the facility where Helen is.  Three staff members and three residents were positive and have been quarantined. I don't think they are in the Memory Care wing but I think I will not go visit this week. They are testing everyone daily and anyone who visits but the fewer people going in, the better.  Helen won't really remember if I was there or not.  I want her to be healthy for Christmas and a possible visit here.  Will this ever end? Sigh.

(I like this avatar image and will use it often leading up to Christmas!)

Peace & hugs!
Jesus is the reason for the season!
Let's all have a blessed December!
