I am checking in today to ask for more prayers.
Our son, Joey, just got called back home because his wife, Darlene, is in the hospital with a kidney stone and they also found a mass on her ovary. She is headed for surgery. He left this morning to be there with her. Praying for his safe travels and also for her. It is a five-hour drive.
Jeff and Kali arrived last night so I am not alone. I am heartbroken for Joey that he can't be here for his dad's service tomorrow. Our Pastor suggested delaying the interment of the ashes until Joey can come back so he has some closure. I will ask him when he calls to see if he would like us to do that. Jeff is okay with not being here for that if it will help Joey. More prayers for these decisions, please.
I am okay. Lots of tears and still treading through phone calls and decisions to be made but it is all okay. One day at a time. I have so many people caring for me and it is a blessing to have Jeff and Kali here. I also have to acknowledge Elaine and Jim being here for me too. They have been amazing through this journey.
